Oh no! Already? When people told me that I'd be targeted by seniors because of my haughty manner hadn’t believed them. But here I was, barely a second after I got down from the bus on my first day of engineering college, being called by a senior. “GOD don't let him be too horrible to me” I thought as I walked toward the guy who called me. He was wearing a black tee, low waist jeans torn at the knees and had this really messed up hairstyle. "Great" I nearly rolled my eyes” another of those wannabe punks"
"BD kottu"
"BD?"
"Yes, and call me sir." "All of these first years have no respect for the seniors! When will they learn?" he remarked to his sidekick who was standing just beside him on a Kawasaki dressed in the same way that he was.
Bd stands for bio-data and translated into Telugu Bd kottu means smoke a cigarette but they actually want to know you bio-data. It’s an engineering term used to rag first years all over.
I had come prepared for this. I was warned that you have to be adept at giving your B.D. because every senior who you are unfortunate enough to fall in the eyes of would invariably ask this question.
I took a deep breath and started.
"Natasha sir. Natasha Sharma. Birthday 4th August, 1991.I have a bother, sorry brother and I studied in K.V. all my life. That’s all"
"You call that a B.D.?" The senior was snorting in my face "Which branch?"
"Computer Science"
"Sir, you are forgetting the Sir. Remember next time. It’s Nakul sir. Okay now, you will be getting late. Buzz Off " So saying, the senior, ah, I knew his name now, Nakul sir dismissed me with a wave.
As I hurried away, I heard his sidekick say” Why did you leave her dude? She’s arrogant. Have to give a her a taste of K.E.C. (Kruthika Engineering College). You never leave 'em so soon?" When I turned to look at his face, he was wearing a mysterious smile. "Ooh! Creepy" I thought and I forgot all about him as the day went on. I got lost in the huge campus and turned up nearly half an hour late for my first class, and I was just as confused in getting back to my class after leaving it for a bit to explore the campus! Amidst all this confusion I managed to make friends with a few people, Ayu Tateishi (she was Japanese), Nina McGill and Sid (Siddharth) from my class. We had all been together since the morning and were getting along like a house on fire.
Sid was extremely funny. He wasn’t too tall or too short and was of medium build and had this spark in him that made him extremely like-able. I could tell he was someone who would be really dependable. He was really brainy and was already answering the professors’ questions with eagerness!
Here goes Fun4eva.... I left the description of Ayu and Nina to you
