Part 2
Other House
Grandma Essie lives in a small neighborhood
that seems to be on a private road. Grabbing my
luggage, I look at the other houses. Except one
stands out within the others. The next door house
looks very Victorian.
I could tell that there is a family who lives
next door. A white wrap around porch and
swinging bench for moonlit nights. Baby blue
shutters for the warm spring, colorful hanging
plants and a yard full of gorgeous flowers. I
should definitely make my self known to the
neighbors.
New Room
Walking into my new room, I see a
twin sized bed. I smile, as I look at the colors
of the comforters. Green and black. My favorite.
There are about a half a dozen pillows and a
chest at the end.
Unpacking my belongings, I scan the room for
other discoveries. Glancing at the desk, I see a
laptop. Rushing over, I see a note that says...
-To Hailey from Grandma Essie.
“Thanks.” As I whispered to myself, knowing
it was for her.
Afterwards I placed my clothes in the
mahogany colored dresser. “Huh,” Sighing
at my pasty white walls, I thought what I would do.
Maybe I should paint them, or tape up some posters.
Only time will tell...
