Background information: This was written for school many months ago and my writing style has changed somewhat since then. Though, I have kept all original spelling and grammar. This is poem is a kind of an alter-ego expression of myself. Thank you.

Seven Deadly Sins

The Shore

Summer breath of shore so pure, sky crisp with free hues of azure;
Ensued by a mortal goddess, live effigy of perfection.
Rich, gilded envy spills, staring, companion shadows her, glaring
At me. Only me. Reading my thoughts like a clear reflection,
As my eyes drowned in hers, emerald, an aqueous reflection...
Murmurs, lies of affection.

Later, guiding her away, hide, releasing how I covet lied.
Darkness drawing closer, nearer... Our secret connection
Among the depress rift of twilight, her mouth whispering goodnight –
Though, her eyes not leaving. Asking, fearing her brisk rejection,
Waiting for that transient sacrifice of rejection –
She answers; love resurrection...

Over indulgence of her heart, willing time to cease her depart.
Drinking in her soul as if there is soon a burning drought
For words, for life. Unable, can't, release myself from her enchant
Figure of attraction, gluttony of beauty, I must shout –
Words of obsession – passion throbbing – let naught escape my shout
For we cannot be found out.

Our relationship feels oddly, her style no longer godly,
Saintly façade expels itself from natural visage throughout.
Less than faith, or even belief, yet more than the discarded leaf
That blows from the treetops of elite, the heights of the devout,
To land on soft grass of fresh dew, fallen, now earthly devout –
As her, I shan't breathe without.

Lustful, desire to touch her, memory a distant blur.
Merging of skin, our bodies wrapped in a sweet, tensile cocoon
Tossing within the veiled night, broken only by the first light.
Rapid breaths of each other, the moaning and a soft croon,
Of satisfaction and unspoken love, a sensual croon
And warm rays of afternoon.

Soft impressions fading, kissing, lingering so shortly. Missing
Motion of our bodies – the electrified moisture of a typhoon
Raging between us. Please try, please remember, let it not be a lie.
Closer, closer, the gravitational pull of the full moon,
Familiar stranger, discovered by the aurora of blue moon,
Love affair ending so soon –

The outreaching vines of greed, want fast blossoming into need.
Lost in the labyrinth of the woods, searching for that serene glade
Where my desires are cured; the promise of scent allured
Me to her, a wasp to a flower, let me not be dismayed.
Wizened branches curling, clinging... please let me not be dismayed.
Her existence starts to fade...

Bound mind wanders, running with me, flitting to save my abductee.
Thick veins course with strength, knowing our meeting she would not betrayed;
Dually ravenous, slash – slay her companion, burn him to dank ash.
Stare through their window, framed; hidden by leafy masquerade,
Her beauty, beaten and bound, bruised with scarlet scar... no masquerade –
Nearby glint of frozen blade –

Wrath flows through me, almost senseless, eternal 'til he's defenseless.
Flashes of murder, revenge... Reality lost in my scheming
Of death – destroyer. I cannot purge my thoughts, will not be forgot;
The rivers of crimson blood, gore, rushing, forever streaming,
The efflux, surges of my energy, forever streaming,
Craving his ghastly screaming.

All along my hate has been formed; twisting and contorting, malformed
In the thoughtless fantasies I have for so long been dreaming.
His soul harnessed for such deceit, pierced through beating heart to defeat.
Haunted by silken, faint words of a liar, praying, pleading,
Echoes of my spirit to fault, to stop, and on he prays, pleading,
Shattered, cut, always bleeding.

And then swells up, glowing inside, emitting heat of shameful pride,
Mimicking the viscous blood of exorcised corpse newly slain.
Seeping puddles – crimson shimmer – narcissism clear in their glimmer,
Forgetting everyone else, immersed in sickened consciousness strain,
Blinded and giddy by the scentless lake – wake up – I must strain,
Rapt upon that deep red stain.

Shifting my gaze as floorboards creak – my lover, twitching, dying, weak,
Embellished euphoria numb, shock-waves of empathetic pain.
Discard the dead for the living – 'laxed time hoped not a misgiving,
Tourniquet constricting the inevitable; avenged in vain?
I, paled contrast to her now dying face… never in vain...
Breath shallow... ebb of red rain...

Insignificant dull halo, reverie of life, cycle, aglow,
Mentioned so briefly in the old-crumbling ancient texts of lore.
Nothing on the inside, hollow, sloth-like as I stare and wallow;
Humid web of guilt I found I so dearly abhor –
I am strangled by the grief, the memories I now abhor,
Please, oh God, no more, no more...

Nightmares flecked with colour of dark, harmony as the demons hark;
To heartache. Runaway from myself, into the open door –
Wintry shades morph to pale green, pallid wispy as the clouds careen
Across the absent sky and formless towards the distant shore.
Will to dream solely in eclipsed shadows of forgotten shore...
Reminiscence of before...
