This story is true.

The father sat there, the only male in the room, surrounded by mothers. His daughter's first day of preschool was today, and his wife was out of town, so he was the one who had to listen to the teacher go on and on and on.
Suddenly, a kid's high pitched scream broke through the teacher's speech. Everyone turned in time to see children running through the hallway, desperate to get away from something or someone. The man opened the door, pushed past the fleeing kids, and looked in a tiny window to the classroom everyone was running from. He saw his daughter, red in the face and tears dripping from her cheek, pick up a bucket and throw it at the teacher, extremely hard. The bucket found its mark, and hit the teacher square in the chest.

The daughter in the story is me, when I was three years old. I've always been really strong, so the teacher probably got a bruise, not that I'm proud of it. I apparently was very, very mad that day. When she came home, my mom straightened it out with the teacher, and I didn't get in trouble.

Hershey,

Lol. That is probably the most constructive comment you’ll get from me - felony indeed, not nice at all. Poor teacher, though I imagine your mom was in a worse situation xD Assertive three year old, you were.

Oh, but don’t you agree that a teacher is at constant risk of… well, something. I mean, hoards and hoards of horrid little - er, children, and then hoards and hoards of beastly little - er, teenagers? Reminds me of one incident, actually. A teacher was patrolling the schoolyard, and some boys were playing ball not far off. Then one accidentally kicked the ball toward the teacher. At the teacher. Accidentally, theoretically, but her arm was still broken.

^^

Cheers,
Esme

Wow. Lucky, though, that you didn't get in trouble. If I'd done that, I'd have been in BIG trouble. But then I wouldn't have been able to throw a bucket... schools where i live are really, really strict. Not that I've been to preschool lately, but public grade-schools are. It's interesting how you start off, describing how your dad was waiting for you, doing it from his viewpoint. Try adding a few more descriptions. Of course, I guess it was over nine years ago, however many adjectives you can glean from that, who knows?? Interesting topic, and title, too. :D

Thanks for the reviews.
It's all thanks to my mom that I didn't get in trouble that day.
Vox Nihili, when my dad called my mom to tell her about my first day at preschool, that's what he called it. Felony assault with a bucket.
