[Nidge Masterson]
Alice was acting weird, but, hey? Didn't all girls usually act like that once in awhile? I watched her walk down the hall for a bit, turning around then thinking, Wait. What'd she say?
I reached down into my pocket and took out the crumpled piece of paper. Choir, 3rd Period. Hold it. That means... I looked back at schedule and then down the hall. Alice was long gone and the halls were quickly being emptied. I slammed the locker door shut and hurried down the almost deserted corridor.
It was a short walk, the class just around the corner next to an art class. My hand wrapped around the knob slowly. She was in here. Crazy girl. Blushing like mad then having a serious tantrum for something I did and then apologizing for it.
I opened the door and stepped in tentatively, another heavy set man greeting me. Man, these teachers need to get on a work out or something. I thought. A frown deepened on his face making the pencil mustache above it sort of disappear.
"Nidge Masterson?" he asked. "New student?"
"Yes, sir."
He looked me up and down then nodded, the frown lightening up a bit. "Place your things on the table and take a seat in the stands."
"Sure,"
"Yes, sir."
"Er, yes, sir." I corrected.
I put my things on a plastic table at the far end of the classroom and then faced the stands where a group of kids were chatting absently. A few pairs of eyes darting over to me, one of them, Alice. I took the bench right above her and leaned back on the bars behind me.
"Your either psychic or stalking. Is this what you mean by 'later'?" the corners of my lips twitched up a bit briefly.
