I had the entire picture here, wasn't sure if that was a good idea. If you think it was, let me know. For now, a link. Let me hear from you!

Very, very cool. I love the wings, they look awesome, and the castle below is a great addition. The shadows and darkness really set the mood.

wow! :D :D :D

that must have taken a long time to draw with all the shading and what not

just one question:

Were your hands smeared with graphite from the pencil?

that always seems to happen to me, even when I dont do any shading

like the previous post the castle was a nice touch
and this guy is suppose to be the wardem right it shows
having the castle shows his power over because he is so much bigger

also good detail

Hello,

I love the figure, it looks like you spent the most time on that. I would suggest more detail and less scratchiness to the wings and the castle. Your shading is very good, especially on the cliff. I like how you've drawn the musculature in the figure, as well. Did you draw from a source or freehand it? I'm interested in the story behind the drawing. Well done.
Is it any wonder I'm tired?
Is it any wonder that I feel uptight?
Is it any wonder I don't know what's right?

:D Yes, this picture is one of my favorites, because I love the story behind it. Seyonne is a character from Carol Berg’s novel Transformation, the first in a trilogy. The castle did not turn out how I wanted, at all, but I realized I would have to leave it or wear a hole in the paper. I’ve not yet caught the hang of architecture in my drawings. I didn’t freehand the picture, except for the wings and the head/face. The coloring is right, because Seyonne is dark. The Falcon’s wings are a dream of mine. It doesn’t turn out as well with freehand. Here is a picture I drew from photos I took myself of the model, much more freehand than Seyonne. The facial features were my own creation entirely, as is the sword.

Yes, my hands had graphite on them. I usually lay a blank piece of paper over what I’ve already drawn if I need to cross over it to finish the rest, to avoid smudging. I also tend to use my fingers for blending as much as my artists tools so, yeah...graphite.

Seyonne is holding a demon mirror in his right hand, the only other weapon he can take with him to fight demons on the plain of the human soul. A demon is paralyzed by his own reflection.

Wow. This is very, very nice.

The shading, the shine of his skin, the wind in his hair, the storm clouds overhead ... all very well-done.

The one suggestion I have is that you work a little more on the castle. The warden is great, and the rock his on is magnificent, but the castle looks flat and unloved. It looks like an afterthought. I think it needs a little more shading and detail. I know you can't put TOO much on, because it's small and far away, but a little bit more would go a long way. Also, it seems to me that not all the towers of the castle are exactly parallel... though that may just be me.

Overall, I think it's amazing. Except the castle. :D

Wow like the wings and how he kneels on that ledge. But what is he holding in his hands other than his sword?? and also you could have drawn the castle a little more descriptively. And also the ledge is too thin.

The shadows give it a more moody like look do well done.
