This is the beginning of chapter two of my story Forsaken. Please note that my spelling and grammar isnt good at all. This story has two narrators. Joanna and Chase. They switch every other chapter. This one is Chase, obviously. More to come.

Blaze and I have been close ever since his parents were killed when he was thirteen. Jade took him in and he’s never left. I’m not complaining, it’s cool that he stayed. I just wish it could have been under better circumstances. Jade is my adopted ‘aunt.’ She a vampire that my bother left everything she owned too. She doesn’t live with us anymore but she stops in every so often to see how things are going.
Our new roommate is moving in today. She is a collage freshman. Her mother or whatever she is hooked her up real nice here. Stella is excited about having another chick around. I hope she isn’t disappointed because when Stella is pissed, we all feel it.
“Man, watch the road, will ya’?” Blaze said from the passengers seat. We were on out way back to the manor in my ’67 Chevelle.
“Sorry, guy, just out of it. You know?”
Blaze has come a long way from all the partying he did in high school. Okay, we both got into a lot of shit. But he got the worst of it, I never stuck around long enough to get arrested as many times as he has. But things have got a lot better. He has a steady job now and actually cleaning up after himself. And he only drinks on the weekends.
“What? You hoping our new roommate is hot?”
I rolled my eyes. Some things will never change, “If she is. She’s all mine.”
“Dude, what if she is a psycho?”
“For what she’s paying to live here, I couldn’t care less. Well, I wouldn’t do anything with her, I don’t think I could deal with any more psychos and everything else.”
We laughed about that for a whole shooting comments about her until we were home. Stella’s car wasn’t in the driveway and I got anxious. In a town like ours, it’s a dumb-ass thing to do, going out alone. And that’s hard on Stella, especially since all the vamps hated her the moment she came here because of the way she dresses. They think that she is mocking them, which only makes her want to buy more skulls and fishnets.
Inside Blaze went into the kitchen and I crashed on the couch. I turned on the Xbox when Blaze walked back into the room with a piece of paper in his hand.
“Stella says, We’ll be back by four x-o-x-o.‘ I’m thinking she kidnapped the new girl.” He tossed me a controller and we got lost in the blood and gore.
I guess I was so caught up in the game—that I was sadly loosing—that I didn’t hear Stella’s car pull up the driveway. She slammed the front door shut announcing her return. “In here!” Blaze called mechanically.
As always, the way to chipper Stella came skipping into the room with the biggest grin on her face. And her hands filled with bags. She saw my eyes shift to the bags and she rolled her eyes. “These aren’t mine. Jo and I did some shopping and this is some of it.”
