Well, folks, I could use some help. I'm working on a story where electric power doesn't exist.
The problem is, I'm not sure what to replace it with. Thoughts?

The obvious for fantasy is magic, but seeing as you're asking, I'm going to guess you haven't got magic in your story.
I agree with Angel - water is the obvious choice. Electricity for what, though? Just light, or telephones too? Because the amount of energy provided by a energy source and the energy needed is dependent on the energy intake, if that made sense.
