I walked out of the locker room and into the gym. I wore a tank top and some basketball shorts, ready to work out.

"Ah!" a girl said, putting her head up against the punching bag. She was breathing heavy and her hair stuck to her face and neck.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

The girl looked at me and smiled, panting. "Yeah," she said. "Just a little tuckered out."

**That's fine.**

Tegan

I watched closely as Sam fought to maintain control. The druggie I'd chosen for him lay limp in his arms, blood streaking them both. I glanced at my watch; five minutes.

I tapped Sam on the shoulder. "That's enough."

He snarled and reluctantly dropped the dying man. "It's hard..."

"I know it is. That's why I'm working with you, helping you build control. Come. Jenna's probably worried sick, especially with dawn approaching."

I made sure Sam was under control before walking away with him.

I smacked the bag again, for a Rogue vampire slayer I looked pretty damn hot. I stopped and turne around to face the girl,

"Alexandra Johnson." I said.

She turned her head. "Excuse me.... I don't think we've met before. How'd you know my name?"

"Lucky guess." I lied, I'd always been able to know peoples names, their age, their date of birth, and if they were single, straight... gay.... bi... or lesbian. It came in handy.

I looked at the girl warily. That's...a bit creepy. But she seemed like a nice person, so I decided not to judge her right off the bat.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Arci," she said as she punched the bag. "Arci Williams."

"That's short for something.... what exactly?"

I took a breath, why did everyone want to know my name?

"Arcillina." I said. prononced R-CILL- INA

"Hmm, nice." She said.

My whole body was covered in sweat and my joints were in so much pain. I was wearing, a black leather corset that laced up in the front but stopped at my belly button, I was wearing skinny jeans. My fists were bleeding.

*what type of vampires are these, like can be in the sun but not for long, or cant be in the sun because they would burst into flames? Stuff like that...also I am switching to first person*

Jack-

I could sense dawn's approach as I walked down the street from the bar I had been in. I hadn't even given a second thought to my brother, Gael's, offer. There was no way I could ever join the Rouges, I didn't want to involve himself at all in this war. But I know I may not have much of a choice this time.

I used my id card to enter the appartment building. Giles, the building attendant was sitting at the front desk, ready for any request. I inclined my head towards him then headed for the elevator.

"Mr. St. John," Giles familiar brittish tone rang through the hall, "I let Joseph in, I hope that's okay."

"That's fine Giles, thank you." I pressed the up button and the elevator dinged and the doors swished open. I used my id card again and the elevator took me to my home, on the top floor.

Joseph is a wealthy vampire like myself, he owns a logo company. We have the same sire so in a sence we are, bloodbrothers. Joseph, while not a Rouge, does enjoy the taste of human blood. He doesn't have trouble finding willing donors either. He doesn't suck them dry, he has control, just not enough control to stop feeding off of humans.

Joseph can get a temper and if threatened he will kill. Which makes him a little more dangerous than most members of the breed can handle. But he is a good fighter and they need him, so he has been helping them.

I figured if Joseph wasn't here to annoy me about feeding off of humans then he was here to ask me to join the breed, to help. Then they would have two of the oldest vampires in the city.

"Joseph!" I called as the elevator opened into my house.

"There you are." He said walking in from the kitchen holding two wine glasses and a bottle of red wine.

"Oh you shouldn't have." I said sarcastically.

"I didn't." I follwed Joseph into the sitting room where two girls were sitting on the couch passed out. They both had two small holes in their neck that blood was leaking from. There was a first aid kid on the side table. Joseph sat the wine glasses down on the coffee table and poured wine into them. "This is for them, when they wake up. I saved you some."

"Tempting, but no thanks."

"Every party has a pooper." Joseph said in the closest thing he had to a sing song voice.

"Is that why you are here?" I asked as Joseph pulled out two gauze pads and tape from the first aid kit. He cleaned the blood from their necks and taped the gauze over the girls wounds.

"No, and I really didn't save you any, I knew you wouldn't go for it. But I hoped." I gave Joseph an annoyed look, "Alright enough jokes, I'm here to talk about which side you are on."

"Who sent you?"

"The council, they heard Gael came to see you"

"You know what that means right?" I asked.

"He's desperate." Joseph said a wicked smile on his face, "I know it's great, I assume you said no."

"Of course I said no!" I pretended to be hurt by his comment.

"Just checking, I mean he is your little brother. So you'll be joining us then?" Joseph raised his eyebrows at me and licked a little blood from his fingers that the cloth had missed.

"I need a drink." I said escaping into the kitchen.

"No, no, no, you are not avoiding this one Jack. Come on, you can't sit this one out." Joseph followed him, "Look," he dropped his voice to a whisper, "if things don't go our way this time, we risk exposure." That caught my attention. "We need to win this one, Jack, for everyone's sake."

I took my time answering, which made Joseph annoyed, "Tell the council, that...if they need me...I am on the Breed's side."

"Thank you I will tell them. Now when the girls wake up," Joseph walked to the elevator and pushed the down button, "tell them I had to go." He winked as I began to protest then jumped in the elevator and was gone.

"Great." I muttered to myself. Well it was the first time Joseph had left unconcious girls on my couch.

I looked at her Arcillina's fists and saw that they were bleeding, then looked at the punching bag and saw that there was a little blood smeared on that, too.

"Hey, Arci? I can call you Arci, right? Do you need a band-aid or something?"

**These vamps are a lot like humans. They're easily hurt, they need several days to fully recover from something like a bullet wound or getting hit by a truck (all I could think of XD), they CAN take SMALL portions of human-food every now and then, and the sun gives them a bad sunburn that will eventually burst into flame (if they stay outside).

Clear things up a bit?**

Jenna-

I sat at home, Macbeth open in front of me, but my eyes were on the clock. It seemed as if the seconds were dragging their feet deliberately. I tapped my fingers against the arm of the sofa at what I thought would be a more suitable pace, ticktockticktockticktock. But the clock continued. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I checked outside. The dawn was scheduled in less than eight minutes. It was one of the drawbacks to living with these guys. They could never come out with me during the day.

I sighed with frustration and stood up, when the door opened.

"Thank goodness!" I shouted, running and throwing my arms around Tegan. I would have given Sam a similar greeting, but he was always uneasy after these tests. I broke apart.

"What took you so long? You're cutting it short tonight," I said, pointing at the clock. "That thing has been annoying me for hours."

"You didn't sleep?" Tegan asked.

"Like I was able to. Lady Macbeth kept me company. But where were you? Gawd, I had a million things running through my head, Rogues, worse..."

"What could be worse?" Sam asked darkly. I threw him a quick glance.

"How did you do?" I asked softly, but he just shook his head and went into his room. I looked questioningly at Tegan.

"He's getting better. Slowly."

I shook my head. "I still don't know how to thank you for this," I said truthfully. "If you were caught-"

"But we aren't," he reassured me. "We won't be. Don't worry, alright? I won't let any harm come to him."

I nodded. I trusted him completely.

"You should sleep," he said to me. "Don't worry. I'll make sure Sam doesn't make a move." After an attempt to kill me last year, I still got a bit frightened of my brother. I nodded, giving Tegan another quick hug.

"I won't let any harm come to you either," he said quietly as I walked away.
"Stella. You were in my dream the other night. And everyone called you Princess." -Lauren2010

Jack St. John-

I walked down the sidewalk, I had decided to let the girls wake up and leave on their own. My car was parked just a few feet away and I was still debating what he was going to do. Joseph was going to or already told the counsil I was on the Breed's side, which would mean talking with members of the Breed.

Last time when I decided to not involve myself in the war a lot of people had been "disappointed" with me. A lot of friendships had been lost, but I felt it was necessary to stay out of the way. I didn't expect anyone to be pleased that I was on the Breed's side this time.

I drove for a while, avoiding my destination until I no longer could. I stopped the car in front of the quaint house and killed the engine. I sighed then stepped out of the car and walked up the flower lined path to the front door. I knocked twice and heard movement behind the wood.

*I don't care whose house he is at..I just thought I should bring myself into the story*

Drake

I looked up when I heard someone knock on the door. Alanna waited for my consent to open it. It was only habitual; we were careful about our company nowadays, due to the rekindled war. It would not take much for the Rogues to find us one more time.

I sniffed the air. It was a vampire, but not a dangerous one. The usual smell of old blood and decay was nowhere to be found, and I relaxed.

"Go ahead, Alanna," I answered, walking out of the room and leaning on the wall, out of the door's reach. "It's safe."

She opened the door, and a new face greet us. He looked between us before speaking.

"Hi. My name's Jack Saint John. I'm here to talk with any member of the Breed."

I nodded. "Welcome. Call me Drake, and this is Alanna. You could say we're the leaders of the Breed. How may we help you?"

Jack St. John-

I didn't step into the house, I hadn't been invited in. From what I could see it was a nice house. A young girl answered the door tentativly, he could tell she was a little nervous despite the reassurance he had heard the man give her before opening the door. The vampire standing a few feet back and leaning against the wall remained expressionless. Waiting for him to answer.
"I'm just here to see how I can help. I'v pledged my alligance to the Breed, I'm not the type of man to not follow through. I'll help in any way." I explained, maintaining a non threatening posture and tone.
"Who sent you?" The vampire asked me.
"My friend, Joseph Konner, gave me your adress." Jack shoved his hands in his pockets and waited while the vampire thought.

Haven

Haven laughed; it lacked the spark of real laughter, "This vamps a real idiot. Going to meet a Breed and not even taking a UV light?"

(UV lights do scare vampires a little, right?)

Haven had been following this man for days now and at last he had gotten to where he had wanted to go.

A young girl answered the door, "Welcome. Call me Drake, and this is Alanna. You could say we're the leaders of the Breed. How may we help you?"

He answered, "I'm just here to see how I can help. I'v pledged my alligance to the Breed, I'm not the type of man to not follow through. I'll help in any way."

"Who sent you?" The vampire asked the vampire

"My friend, Joseph Konner, gave me your adress." Jack shoved his hands in his pockets and waited while the vampire thought.

Haven smiled, "Wow this person is clueless! Has he no idea that I'm following him?"

Haven hid in a shadow, over 20 metre away in a builiding, far enough to see and hear, but not be smelled or sensed. He smiled, his eyes going red, "This will be interesting."

He shrugged not really caring what he was doing anymore, "So what uncle told me to spy on them with out interfereing, heh, he won't know."

He walked over to them, they stared at him in shock, "I'm not here to harm you. I'm just here to spy, not interfering am I?"

He raised an eyebow, his eyes were emerald again, their cool touch sending shivers down peoples spine. He smiled; it lacked the essence of any feeling.

"So, you gonna answer?" He stared at them for what seemed like forever.

Jack St. John-

We needed to get away from this rougue, he was a little too recklass for my liking. I couldn't step into their house because I lacked an invitation and the invisible barrier only I could feel kept me out. I smiled at the girl, Alanna; and the vampire, Drake, hoping they would catch my drift and closed the door. Alanna looked even more scared now then when she answered the door originally.

"I'll be in touch." I said turning and walking back to my car. Thankfully Drake closed the door as I left, not that this new vampire could get in either, he also lacked an invitation. I slid into my car only to find the young vampire in the passenger side.

"You shouldn't have refused his offer." The boy said.

"What is your name?" I asked.

"Haven." He replied looking at me with red eyes, "Gael wasn't too happy that you turned him down and went for the Breed instead. You guys are supposed to be brothers, family."

"Yeah, well things change." I said wondering if Haven knew who his parents killers were. "Look, why don't you run along now, and stop following me."

"My uncle gave me strict instructions-"

"Yeah? Well I'm your uncle too. Get out." I could smell his anger bubbling under his skin as he stepped out of the car. I revved the engine and took off, not slowing down until I parked.
