Hello, you may call me Parasky. I'm obviously new here, I found this place when I was searching for some words to use a poem I was writing. I have lots of poems and stories I would like to share with you all, but I think I should introduce myself and get to know you all and this place first.

This thread is so lonely compared to the other warm welcomes around it...*shivers* This thread is so cold...

What stuff do you like to read/write? I tend to write crime fiction and poetry, but at the moment I'm really into war literature ('proper' literary books, like Atonement and Birdsong, not all that tacky Chris Ryan c**p.) Do you have any hobbies or interests?

Hello Gahks, greetings from the warm, cloudy American Midwest!

Well, I like to write science fiction and narrative poetry. If you read any of the poetry I posted, you'll probably notice that I do experimental/avant garde styles of poetry (like E.E. Cummings). My hobbies are history, art (painting and drawing), reading, writing (obviously), and video games. I want to be a designer of video games, I see them as an art form, I look at them like a story, one that's interactive.

Yummy, ee cumings! I'll have to read some of your poetry in the near future an give my two cents.

lol. I like how you look at video games, and I completely agree. Some are better than others, of course.

I'm glad to see your welcome thread warmed up. =P I'd hate to think YWs was leaving people out in the cold.

Yes, I do read a lot of scifi. Especially the Star Risk Ltd. series by Chris Bunch. I also enjoy Jules Verne, his work was scifi back in its day (I suppose it still is, seeing as it is fiction that is scientific). But my all time favorite scifi book would have to be Expedition by Wayne D. Barlowe. Thanks for the greetings!
