Tanner~

Tanner growled as she slipped on the branch, falling to the ground head first. She flipped around, almost like a cat, and stood her ground, snarling as her brother, Crater, stepped into veiw. "I'll admit, you've gotten stronger, big brother," Tanner coughed, glaring. Her brother let out a raspy laugh and drew his sword, the exact replica of her own.

"You also have gotten stronger little sis. I used to take you down in five minutes," Crater laughed, a wide grin spread across his face.

"How long has it been now? Two days?" She asked with slight humor.

"Two and a half, but who's counting? It's not like either of our team mates will help us out with our battle."

"True. I haven't seen one of my own for two weeks,"

"Same," Crater sneered and lunged, his black blade sword slicing Tanner's sensitive flesh. Tanner winced and blocked his next attack, Crater recieving a long gash on his cheek as she blocked.

"Wish someone would come help though," they chorused, jumping away from each other and attacking again.

Senona~

I paced the floor, if my heart could beat, it would be killing my chest right now. I savagely wiped the blood from my brow and growled in frustration, frightening a few of my soldiers away. I knew they were all as furious as I was at our recent defeat. Still I stomped around, barking orders to ensure they would still follow my lead.

The Virtuous and bested me this once, next time they would not be so lucky.

Aren:

I heard fighting and stepped out from the trees. I saw one of my own fighting a Virtuous and sneered. "Need help?" I asked, already getting my magic ready. I saw a beautiful entrancing girl step out on the other side and growled.

Beth:

I glared. I knew the one Wicked. I had dated him once. A complete disaster. "Need help?" I asked the male beside me, just wanting to obliterate Aren.

Tanner and Crater~

"It would be nice to have some," they chorus again, glaring daggers at one another.

"I hate you," Tanner spat angrily.

"Likewise little sis," Crater snarled, lunging at Tanner, sword ready.

Tanner blocked the sword, knocking it out of his hands. She swung but he dodged, picking up his sword again and slicing thin air. Tanner growled lowly and ran at him, cutting him across the arm. She jumped back and Crater jumped towards her.

*can I still join?*

name- Azrayel (Ray)
group- has not chosen yet
rank- none yet
species- half demon/half angel
gender- male
appearance- http://aelithe.deviantart.com/art/glomp ... XD-6789367

history- The son of a demon and an angel, Ray's existence was hidden from the warring factions. His parents gave him up at birth and he was raised by humans, so he doesn't really understand his powers. The couple who raised him were brutally killed a few years ago, and Ray set off in pursuit of the killers. Since then he has honed his powers, the ability to manipulate the elements, except for earth. The shock of seeing the people he cared for killed before his eyes and the resulting hunt and traumatic experiences twisted his personality. But remnants of his good heart still shine through. Ray is only 17 but he is still a strong warrior, with rare talent that is difficult to harness.

personality- Ray is like fire and ice. At times he's the worst of hot heads, and others he's a cunning tactician with a ruthless mindset. This almost split personality is a result of his mixed blood. He follows his heart before his head, and will risk anything to save his friends. Ray guards his heart jealously so as not to feel the pain of losing someone important again. He lashes out at those who try to make friends with him, and it is difficult to get passed the barriers and get to know the real him

other- In order to survive he had to do some pretty bad things, Ray will do anything for the right price. But it should be noted that while his skills can be bought his loyalty cannot. Up for love, but be careful. He also has the ability to heal from his angel father, but he has yet to learn how to control it.
------------------

Azrayel-

Ray flew fast, and silent his night black wings blending with the night sky. He dove in low, almost skimming the forest canopy. Spotting something, he pulled up sharply and landed quietly on the forest floor. Ray closed his eyes, listening to the sounds of fighting close by. Green eyes shone as Ray slipped towards the fighting, if he was lucky it would be the men he was hunting.

Beth:

I growled and lunged for the girl, but was blocked by Aren.

"Don't make me annihilate you." He hissed.

I growled. "You are such a jerk! And what makes you think you'll kill me." I pushed him back. I smiled. "I'm a lot stronger than I look!"

Aren:

I growled. "You were never worth my effort!" She charged and I laughed, making a big gash in her shoulder.

I sneered down at her as she whimpered. "Bye bye little angel."

Daniel pulled his steed in at the side of the dirt track.

"You, sir, have you seen any other horsemen passing this way?"

The old forester leaned on the handle of a giant axe, pondering the question. "Maybe I 'as an' maybe I 'asn't. And certainly not riding a horse as damn fine as yours if I did"

Daniel rolled his eyes and tossed the man a small bag of copper coin from his saddle.

"Aye, that freshens me memory nicely. I seen a half dozen're so come down this 'ere track not more than an hour ago."

Daniel galloped off without saying even a word of thanks. An hour ahead? By now they would have reached Sendai. By now they might have reached the girl.

He leant forward on his horse, willing it to go farther. Fairfax, his steed, responded with an extra burst.

Senona~

I crumpled the piece of parchment in my hand and resumed my pacing. Of course my king wanted to see me after the gruesome defeat my clan had just suffered.

With one last snarl at my soldiers I mounted my horse and rode off, glad to feel the beast beneath me. Rain pelted me from above, blinding me in my quest for my king’s tent. I wiped my eyes no less than a thousand times before I reached the bulk of his lair. I quivered in fear as I thought of the brutality I had seen bestowed on other failures in this exact spot.

I pushed bile down inside my throat and pulled the flap open bracing myself for what was to come.

((Keldra))

Keldra circled slowly around the battle. The odds had changed. Equal warriors against each other, both obtained another player. Keldra grinned, her sharp teeth glinting in the sun. She sank lower into a stalk, this game was about to add yet another player. Keldra knew each of the players names, for the Virtuous there was a cat woman she didn't recognize and Crater the dog demon. For the Whicked there was Aaron the magician and Tanner the other dog demon.

A smile crept across Keldra's face. She had known the Thomas family for ages, Crater had once courted Keldra but duty had called and she had to leave for yet another war. She hadn't seen him since. Keldra's armor gleamed as the sunlight caught it, the titanium-iron alloy had been forged by the best metal smith. Spikes lined the plated spine of the armor and the metal had also been forged into her claws to make them stronger and sharper.

Keldra decided it was time to join the fight. Slowly her paws took her out into the battle field. It wasn't much, just a field with trees lining the outside. Keldra's lip formed itself into a snarl. A low, throaty growl erupted from Keldra's throat. The dog demons didn't hear and kept fighting. The magician and cat woman glanced up, the magicians sword raised in mid swing.

The magician smiled, "Come to join the fight, fellow Whicked?"

A laugh rang through the forest, "Fellow Whicked? I would never fight under the ranks of any Whicked scum." Keldra spat the last word out with disdain.

The Magician looked surprised, "A Virtuous werewolf?"

Keldra lowered her body once again into the stalking mode. She could see the cat woman was hurt. Once Keldra got a look at her face she recognized her. Bethany, one of her former squad leaders. Keldra's green eyes locked onto the magician, "Ready to play, human?"

Crater and Tanner~

Crater gave a quick nod of greeting in Keldra's direction, only to get a black blade pressed to his throat. He grimaced and grinned, looking down at Tanner. "Never take your eyes off the enemy," she warned with a sneer. Crater grinned wider and swept his feet under her, knocking her to the ground.

Tanner flipped, her hands on the ground, and pushed off, creating some distance between her and Crater. "Who said I was?" Crater cocked an eyebrow. "Maybe it was my plan to make you do that," he laughed raspily as a man-made rope swept Tanner upside down and suspended her above air.

Crater laughed at the win and turned to the other Whicked. "What now human?" He asked, standing next to Keldra. "It'd be sma-" Her was cut off by a tight grab around his neck and yanked backwards.

"Who said the fight was over," Tanner sneered, replacing her arm with the wolf carved blade.

AOi-

A bunch of creatures where fighting. It was rather pathetic. They had nothing better to do but attack. I sighed. It would not matter anyways. I was just on the sidelines watching, but never acting.

As I walked away from the scene somone grabbed my arm.

"YOu're not going anywhere, monster." A man whispered.

I froze, someone had found out about me. Crap, this would only mean trouble. The man punched my face. Making me fall the the ground. Attracting more poeple to me. I sheilded my face from their gaze. Wrapping my arms around my head.

Saying nothing, forever silent.

*the half-basilisk idea is decidedly odd. for our purposes Basilisks can be humanoird, alright?*

There's was fighting a long way off to the right of the track, Daniel could hear it. Tugging firmly on the reins he redirected Fairfax into the scrub.

But as he rode he realised that something wasn't right. In a fight like he imagined there wouldn't be this much noise, six men against a girl, even a girl with extraordinary traits, would be decided quickly one way or another.

Nevertheless, this fight was far too close to where he had expected to find the girl, far too much to be a coincidence. He reined Fairfax in and pushed all his senses to their limit, searching for something else.

There, to the south of the fight, a half dozen figures moving loudly through the scrub, carrying something.

As he circumvented the fight he caugth the occassional glimpse of the combatants. He caught glimpses of tails, fur and other animalistic traits and assumed it to be a fight amongst local wildlife. Such a mistake was glaring in his case, but he was otherwise distracted.

Fairfax closed on the men, and Daniel unsheathed his sword in anticipation.

Senona~

I opened the flap of the tent as quietly as I could, telling myself to not show my fear over and over again. He sat in a red velvet chair only fit for a king, a lazy expression on his face. I straightened my posture and walked in, meeting his eyes almost automatically. The young king glanced at me from his throne away from home and grinned evilly.

“Senona, come in child, come in.” He sounded much too pleasant for my liking.

I sauntered over to him before kneeling at his feet, showing just as much respect as disrespect. I knew my blatant disregard for his power would please him greatly. “My lord.”

“Rise, girl.” He told me, I flinched at the order. I was used to giving commands, not receiving them. Still I rose from my spot and again met his eyes. He grinned at me again, and my skin crawled.

“You called for me?” I asked, trying to sound impassive. To show fear is weakness, and weakness will not be tolerated.

“You were defeated today, much to my surprise.” I watched as his hand found the whip beside him. I knew that after this point, my words would decide my punishment.

“They surrounded me, sixty of them at least. It will not happen again, I assure you.” I said as haughtily as I could.

The whip cracked once, and a sting met my cheek. I did not raise my hand to wipe the blood away.

“See that it doesn’t. Dismissed.”

I strolled back out, as if his blow had not hurt me at all. To show pain is to show weakness, weakness will not be tolerated.

*I'm confused, so there are two fights in the woods happening right next to each other?*

Azrayel-

Ray watched the fight with mild interest. Switching from the magician against the two girls, a cat and wolf, strange combination that. To the other pair, they looked enough alike that they had to be related. He watched with some amusement as the girl was swept up by the trap.

The boy turned to go help his friends, and didn't notice the girl cut herself loose and sneak up behind him. Too late, she already had the sword at his throat before the others noticed. Ray leaned back, watching how the fight played out.

"What are you waiting for Ray, jump in and help them." Mir flitted in front of his nose, the water fairy was small, with ocean blue hair, sky blue eyes, and powder blue wings. Her clothes were all different shades of blue.

Ray brushed the fairy away gently. "Why should I Mir? None of them are the people I'm after."

Mir glared at him hands on hips. "Your father..."

"Was one of the four great heroes of the Virtuous faction. I know." Ray rolled his eyes. "But while I may be my father's son, I am also my mother's son, and she was one of the generals Whicked faction. That said. If I jump in, which side do I help?"

"That's obvious help the Virtuous side. Besides if you do they might give you information about the Hunters."

Ray sat up quickly and glared at Mir. "Say stuff like that sooner will you." He jumped out of the tree and landed behind the boy his dagger pricking her back.

**For those of you wondering, Mir is sort of like Ray's conscience. Allowing him to retain his humanity.**

Crater and Tanner~

Tanner lowered her blade slowly, someone pricking her back with a dagger. Crater turned around once the blade was removed and cocked his head to the side. "Why didn't you kill me little sis?" Crater sneered, bending down to eye level.

"I would've if there wasn't the consequence of dying myself," Tanner replied with a smirk. Crater looked around her at the guy. He gave a grin and stepped away from Tanner. Tanner jumped straight up, dodging the dagger and swinging onto a branch. She smiled challengingly down at her brother and the other guy
