plot: This one features around a thrice weekly social group for trouble teens. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday the group meet at six in the afternoon, sometimes to talk about their problems, sometimes to play sport and sometimes to seek help for their school work or family troubles. The group is open to all students but particularly those who have troubled pasts. Each of your characters is a member of this group. You can like the social workers or you can hate them, you can enjoy the meetings or hate them, you can even skip a few but the group will be the main focus. That's not to say that the characters can't see each other at school or even start relationships and go to the cinema etc.

Jess-

She steped into the meeting. It was 6 pm on the dot and it was a Monday night.

"Ugh..." she said slouching in to a chair. She was tired of having these meetings on Mondays. It took away from her home work, although she hated that too.

Some one sat down beside her. She turned.

Shy
~~~
Shy dragged his feet as he walked into the meeting. He did not want to be here. The only reason he was here was because of his stupid social worker, who also happened to be part of the staff running these things.
He could almost here Mr. Morgan's annoying voice. "It'll be good for you, Shylah. Give you a chance to, you know, get it off your chest."
Shy hadn't even had to ask what 'it' was. The social workers had been reffering to his anger as 'it' ever since he had punched a window two summers ago, when he was at that stupid cat-lady's house.
"'It' is a problem", they said. '''It' is the reason he can't get placed", they said.
Yeah right. The only reason he couldn't get placed was because most foster families didn't want older kids. And especially not older kids with 'issues', which was what the social workers called his past.
He sighed as he walked over to a chair and sat down beside a girl with long hair and odd-looking eyes.
Normally, Shy wouldn't have sat next to anyone, but he didn't much fancy being at the table next to the door, because Mr. Morgan would make him come sit up front, and he also didn't want to be up front, because he would be near Mr. Morgan.
So, the middle it was.
He let his backpack drop to the floor with a thud, obviously startling the girl beside him, because she turned to look at him.
Her dark eyes peirced his for a moment, holding his gaze until he had to look away.
"Hi." he said, wanting to make her stop staring at him.
Hope this is ok! Whoo! This is so fun! :)
"Hi." she said lightly.
His eyes were a nice blue color. It reminded her of the sea. She loved the sea.
His hair was dark brown with blonde high lights. She wanted to feel his hair. How could he get it that way? She held back her wanting and took her eyes off him. She could feel his uneasyness.
Tex felt strange being here with these people. What is he doing here? I just made one comment on how Mr. Buch is getting the girls closer to his desk and he is suddenly send to these pyscho's for 'disrespectful behavior'.
" Tex?" One kid laughed and pointed to his name tag." What kind of name is that?"
" The one that God, My Mom, My father, and many people gave me." I said with a sigh.
Sighing, she pushed open the door and headed into the meeting. She was only 3 minutes late, but it bothered her. Every time she went some where with her father, which wasn't too often, they were always late and had a reputation for it. Pushing the thought off to the side, she glanced around the room and felt a little nervous, turning her headphones up a little louder.
I hope this crap works...And I don't disappoint Mom.She thought to herself, heading towards the few other kids in dull room. Ignoring them, she sat at a table near the front, which was angled so that everyone was facing each other. She put her book bag under the table and turned her headphones back down so that way she could hear when to turn them off.
Anthony sighed as the instructer rabled on. It had been two years since he started this class and he felt it's uses thinning. True enough he was grateful to the people here, but he was changing. Medication was helping a lot, but because of his attemps at suicide he must remain till the end of highschool.
What a load of crap he said to himself leaning back in his chair. The only reason they see somthing "wrong" with me is i think too much. Well, I think I'm better for it.
When the lecture ended he walked out into the hall, but relized he had left his bag in the room. Turning he ran into someone making her drop her stuff. "Sorry," he said as he picked up her bag, "I'm Anthony, Tony for short."
"I'm Michelle."
I will always fight back, no matter what.
Jess snozed in her chair. There was no one to pick her up but her parents expected her to be home about now. She leaned back a bit too far and fell over in her chair.
"Ow." she wined as she rubbed her head sleepily.
Then she saw feet.
When he ran into her, he had knocked the headphones out of her hand, spilling them with her backpack. She picked them up after he had given her stuff back, and smiled shyly. She wasn't too good at conversation, or making new friends. She stuffed the headphones into her pocket and cleared her throat.
"So....You look you've been here before." Realizing what she had said, she tried to rephrase it, "I mean....I didn't mean it as....I'm sorry!" She frowned and looked down at the floor, knowing that she had now offended him in some way.
"Please forgive me, I just mean that you looked pretty comfortable in class today." She said, trying to make up for what she had said.
Anthony sighed, "Yeah, but I really have no reason to be here anymore." He looked at her and smiled slightly, [i]This conversation is going no where fast, "Would you like me to walk you home, or do you have a ride?" He wanted to keep the coversation going.
She looked at him and picked nervously at the edge of her shirt, then smiled. "Well, I don't have a ride tonight. I told mom I would ride with a friend, which means I plan on walking..." She let it go as a hint that she would rather him walk with her, because she didn't like asking people for things. She blushed slightly when she looked back at him.
Tex peeked around the corner at the girl and guy and Groaned.
" Whats your problem?"
Tex looked to the girl next to him and said," Love."
She smiled and jabbed his elbow with her finger," You are in love?"
" NO! I hate love. It just makes a girl all jelly legged and a guy stuttering. It's a nasty thing."
The girl chuckled." You ever been in love?" She leaned against the lockers with a grin.
Tex looked at the two around the corner." Many times. I was once in love with my fith grade teacher. But I realize something at 7th....it was a puppy love! And it still is...I mean, come on! How long do these Teenage Relationship's last?"
The girl frowned," You find love some sort of a disease?"
" No." Tex then blushed that he was talking to a girl without introducing himself.
" Tex Holdings." He held out his hand.
She took the hand and shook it." Jane Goodall."
" Your the...?"
" No. I'm not related to that Jane Goodall at all."
" Okay."
We both laughed.
Shy pulled out his MP3 player, sticking the headphones in his ears roughly as he waited for Mr. Morgan to come get him. The player had been a gift from one of those Salvation Army Christmas Tree things, last year. He hadn't wanted to open the gift, because he knew it was just charity from some rich kid who decided he'd get in good with his parents by saying he wanted to help the needy.
In the end he'd taken it, only cause his foster father had given him a lecture about how he should be grateful, because he was such a good-for-nothing that it was lucky someone even cared. The look in the man's eyes had said: "Because I sure don't."
Shy had almost gotten sick. He hated that man. Hated him so much that he had been moments away from punching him then. The only reason he didn't was because he knew he'd get decked if he tried.
He sighed as he heard the door open and close, another person's footsteps and somebody talking loudly, not really saying anything. People began to join with people, some running into each other, some talking like old friends.
"My Lord," he murmured to himself, watching all the people mingle. This was his first session, but they all looked like they'd been here before.
"Great." he whispered. He wouldn't admit it, but he was just a little bit nervous. What if they all ganged up on him, like people did at the other schools? It was bound to come out , sometime in one of these things, that he was an FK, or a foster kid. People usually started to avoid him after that.
He let out an angry huff, slumping in his chair. He jumped when he felt someone come up behind him.
~~~
Anyone wanna come talk to Shylah?
And I'm sorry if this doesn't fit, I'm just a teensy bit lost. :)

*This is written from the view of an NPC*

James

"You sure sound happy to be here," James looked down at he dark haired boy and flashed a brief grin before moving round to a chair; the meeting was starting. First of the month, that meant it would at least be brief, probably no more than a few small groups of chattering teens and a speech or two.

"Not as happy as you," the boy replied, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm James. And you?" He shrugged his bag off his shoulder and kicked it under the chair but his face showed no inner torment; he was grinning.

"I'm Shy."

"Ah so that's why you're sat on your own," James joked. Shylah glared at him but had no time to retort as one of the social workers had begun speaking, explaining the schedule. As expected, the meeting was brief and James soon stood, ready to leave. The room was emptying and then one girl who was clearly snoozing leaned too far back in her chair nd crashed to the floor.

"Ow!" she said. James laughed, snatching his bag and quite purposefully walking past.

"Jerk!" Shy called after him. James glanced back and winked, that smile still plastered across his face as Shylah bent down to help the blond-white haired girl to her feet.

(I guess we'll start another meeting so that History will get caught back up)
****************************************************************

Pulling her bag up and over her shoulder, she pushed through the old large door for the second time this week, not too eager to be here. Monday, she had met a guy, Tony, and he was very nice to her. He had even been kind enough to walk her home. Maybe he just didn't have anything else to do.... Shrugging, she headed across the room, pushing past chairs and people she had recognized from the following meeting.

Of course, she noticed the one or two 'newbies' that littered the room here and there. One caught her eye; a boy, tapping his foot to the beat of whatever song was amped up through his headphones.So I'm not the only one appreciates music. She thought, smiling to herself. She tapped her fingers on the desk in tune to a beat only she could hear as she wondered if she would make new friends today, or if Tony would show up.

"I wonder how many kids we'll have today..." Her thoughts were echoed by one of the moderators of the class, who was scanning over his clipboard with a tired look. "We had a good response to Monday's meeting; many of them showed up." Michelle sighed, resting her head on her arms on the table in front of her.This is almost pointless...She thought.
