**Yeah, I know. Third person, remember? Amber thinks she's a guy, but the narrator knows all **
~ Amber
Amber saw Colt about to leave and rushed after him as his hand fell on the door knob. "Colt!" Colt turned his head. Amber looked up at him so their eyes would meet. Goodness, he was tall. She nodded once and smiled. "Thank you."
Blood rushed up to Ambers cheeks before she could stop it. She bashfully muttered another thank you and turned back to the hostages she was to be bossing around. "Velna, are you planning on making everybody here slip and kill themselves?" She folded her arms. "Why don't you do a better job?"
Velna resisted the urge to beat Amber with the mop. She took a deep breath and continued to mop the floor at a steadier pace. "Yes, ma'am." She sighed. Amber grinned slightly and watched Tim make the beds. She was dreadfully intimidated by him, for he never seemed to care much about whatever he was supposed to do.
"Tim?" she called, fear seeping into her voice. Tim slammed her foot down and threw the white bed sheet onto the sopping wet floor.
"What do you want?" she glared. Amber gulped and turned away.

There was nothing to do. I felt not needed. As I twirled a ring around my finger I saw Chirs talking to Colt. I scoffed as he asked if there were any problems. There were always problems. I went over to the side of the boat and leaned against it.
"Je m'ennuie ainsi!" I said to myself, thinking no one was around.
"What did you say?" Gin asked from beside me. I blushed, I hadn't realized anyone was around.
"I... I said that I was bored." It was the truth I had just mumbled that I was bored but Colt would get a bit angry if he'd heard that. A pirate's life was suposed to be full of adventure but really, it was just boring. Except raids were pretty fun and when they weren't barking orders at us.
Gin let out a small laugh. "Yes, I supose there isn't much action this morning."
Some say laughing is the best medicine but what do you do when you can't laugh anymore?
Multiple personalities are just good social skills.
*OKay, maybe I'm not making this clear, when you're talking about Tim, you should call her a him, cause you just don't know any better, okay? *wipes forehead in relief,* Glad I got that off my chest.*
Tim.
Tim glared at the girl, who was so emotionally connected to a guy who bossed people around.
"EXCUSE ME? Do not "nevermind" me!" Tim yelled gruffly.
The girl recoiled; scared. Tim lifted up the bed sheets she had dropped on the ground, "I think maybe, if I have a hostage, bartering off this hell hole, won't be too hard."
SHe grinned sardistically, eyes widened; crazed. Obviously the salt water she had drunk earlier today had gotten to her.
Tim approached the girl with the bed sheets, "Come here, bossy girl, let me show you how to fold THINGS!"
(OKay, not much action? TRY THAT ON FOR SIZE!! ^^, Yerr and please don't control my character too much, she usually isn't this violent, but I think you made her angry. ^^)
Velna grabbed Tim's arm. "Leave her alone before you get us both whiped." She growled in a low voice. "Remember, you don't have free run of this boat like she does and what you do could fall back on me."
Colt---
Colt shrugged. "Nothing really." He ran a hand through his hair and looked around. "Their getting restless."
Tim snatched her arm back, "Don't you get all high and mighty on me as well! I even was gonna try to help you escape, but your loss."
Tim ran over to the girl, "Hey you, your gonna be my hostage alright?"
The girl looked really freaked out. Tim laughed menacingly, "I'm gonna make you pay for making me do dirty work, this all was meant to be your job anyway, right?"
Tim then took a step forward . . . and fell . .. flat on her face.
"Eughh . . damn that sea water is not good for anyone." her belly grumbled its agreement.
SHe dragged herself up, "You're lucky, I accidentally drank seawater, you might not be awake right now if I hadn't."
Tim smiled, "I'm going to sleep."
And she fainted right on the floor, barely breathing.
Chris gave the deck a quick glance, noting the bored, sometimes frustrated looks on the faces of many of the crew. He frowned - the crew being bored never made his job easier, as if it were easy in the first place, "Perhaps it's about time we tried for another raid, or at least made port somewhere."
Colt was about to say something when there was a loud thud from one of the cabins. Chris' frown deepened, and he put one hand on his cane, anticipating a reason to let the crew know what happened if they let their boredom impact on their work, "Who's in there, Colt?"

Colt spun towards the cabin and started towards it. "Amber and the hostages." He replied gruffly. He shoved the door open and looked around. Amber was standing stalk still a look of fear and confussion on her face. The other hostage, Velna looked angery as all get out and was storming over to the other hostage Tim who was laying on the floor knocked out. He looked towards the third person in the room who was just staring. "What's going on in here?"
Velna---
Velna looked up at the guy as she got closer to Tim. "Maybe someone braver should stay in here." She growled under her breath.
"What did you say?" HE demanded closing the few feet between them and looking down at her. She suddenly felt smaller then an ant. She squared her shoulders though and looked him straight in the eyes.
"If your gonna have him," She pointed to Tim, "In here you might want someone else in here helpin her." She said pointing to Amber. She crossed her arms and glared up at him.
Amber stood in the corner, her hands neatly tucked into her chest. "If you're going to have him in here you might want someone else in here helping her." Her eyes darted to Velna, who was explaining to Colt at how bad a job she's doing at dealing with the hostages.
This is so annoying. Shouldn't somebody else be controlling and demanding these people rather than little old her? Amber's eyes rested on Colt. She ran over, making sure she was the slightest bit graceful, and clutched his arm. "Colt." She looked up at him once more. Why was he so tall? "I'm so very sorry about what happened with Tim." She nodded to the boy lying on the floor. "I don't believe I'm very able to do this sort of thing."
A groan was heard and Amber twisted her head around, her honey hair slapping her face. Tim stirred on the floor, gingerly rubbing his head. "Seawater - the devils beverage." He coughed harshly and got up, managing to wobble only slightly. Amber noticed the bed sheets remained entwined within his fingers.
