This was just a scene I had zooming around in my head, sort of inspired by a painting. I might try and continue on it, but I'm not sure yet.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She was racing, running, sprinting through the woods, flying over the ground, fast, so fast, faster. Her sheer skirt whipped around her ankles as she flew, feet barely skimming the ground. Errant raindrops stung her cheeks, urging her to stay ahead of her pursuer. She knew she was. But still she could still feel his rank breath, hot in her ear, even as he was far behind. Just a little faster, she urged, so close, oh so close. A final burst of speed as she lept into the clearing, braid smacking her back as she urged her screaming muscles up the hill, and stopped. Up on top, bright sun, sky clear, no rain. She stood stock still, nervous eyes darting back and forth. Her sensitive ears were just able to pick up the sound of the hunter crashing through the brush. She had just enought time, she thought, allowing herself a small smile. And he watch her go. She felt down to the tips of her toes, felt the heat of the power she knew rested there, saved for all this time. She called upon it now, releasing it to slowly surge throughout her body. With that, she ripped her hair loose from its plait, allowing the chestnut tendrils to dance crazily in the wind. Raising her arms, as if in a pirouette, she began to spin, slowly at first, then faster and faster, as the power rose within, consuming her body, glowing radiantly, until she was a luminescent blur. Suddenly he burst through the woods, twigs trailing in his wake. He watched as she began to rise in the air, letting out a single, pure, sweet note as her calling. In that moment, he knew what she was doing. In that moment, as she disappeared into the air, he let out a howl of rage and furry.

Hello there.

This had a lot of lovely imagery and I could very easily imagine being there.

She knew she was. But still she could still feel his rank breath, hot in her ear, even as he was far behind. Just a little faster, she urged, so close, oh so close.

This is a little bit weak and messy. I think you need to squash the first two lines together so it runs more smoothly.

Up on top, bright sun, sky clear, no rain.

Nit picky but could you swap the words 'sky' and 'clear' around. It just flows better off the tongue.

She stood stock still, nervous eyes darting back and forth

I like this sentence a lot.

through the brush.

Should that be bush? If so, can you describe it more?

Overall a good piece. Some points could do with a little more description. For instance, I want to know what the woods looks like. I wouldn't mind some background info either - if you consider expanding this into a story.

Good stuff.

Keep on writing,

It's good because it has very vivid imagery.

One thing you could work on is developing it more, so that it become more than one paragraph. This could also be accomplished by simply splitting up what you've got.

It seems a bit incomplete. You start out running and end with her escape, but you should try explaining why she was being hunted.

At the end, you say he knew what she was doing. To be honest, I don't. Is the girl some kind of fairy or transforming robot? (Okay, that last one's a stretch). I think it's a good start to be finished, or if you decide not to finish it, there's always the short story exchange (can't remember it's real name, it's where you swap unfinished stories).

Great description of her movement and the weather!

Good description!
A few minor typos:

She had just enought time, she thought, allowing herself a small smile. And he watch her go.

I'm thinking you meant - and he'd watch her go

In that moment, as she disappeared into the air, he let out a howl of rage and furry.

fury instead of furry

Yep, that's my nit-pick.
One other thing is it's all one block. It's all about the same subject so maybe it's all right... it just seems as though it's a bit easy to lose your place in the words. Maybe not, oh I don't know.

Anyway, if you write more, this is a great flashback or flashforward intro. :smt023
