This might seem odd, but I'm looking for members of The Young Writers Club, which was formally a popular site for young writers a lot like this one. I tried to get back to it recently, but it's been closed down.

As I said, I'm trying to track down some old members, particularly those who were involved in the RPG Elven Paradise. A lot of people won't have any idea what I'm talking about, but a handful might have the same fond memories.

I thought I saw GriffenKeeper’s name, but it could be a different person.

Thank you for reading this!

But in any event! Welcome to YWS! I'm Mesh! I was never of TWYC, so I'm pleased to meet ya! If you have any questions about the site, feel free to PM me!

Thank you so much! I'll probably just lurk for now, but I'll probably post something soon, just to get in the game. I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. I've been trying to find something like this for years!

Griffinkeeper *is* the same person. So bug him. He'll be tickled pink to see you. :)

I'm his sister, by the way. I heard a lot of good things about Elven Paradise, though I haven't really read it. ^^ I remember there were a lot of gryphons though, from Grif's account, LOL.

I don't think I took part in Elven Paradise but I was involved in quite a few others. What was your screen name on TYWC?

Hello and welcome to YWS!! I was never on TYWC myself, but there are quite a few refugees running around (er, scrolling around?) the site. Anyway, you need a gift. So here it is. (Sorry my cheesy announcer robot's on vacation until after the AP Exams and my voice just doesn't sound right so I'm taking a no-frills approach.) :D :) :( :o  :? 8) :x :P       :!: :?:   :| :elephant: :thud: :smt005 :smt006 :smt014 :smt023 :smt034 :smt059 :smt069 :smt081 :smt055 :smt046 :pirate1: :smt118 :smt117 :smt084 :smt041

Hi there! Haven't heard of the TYWC, but hope you find it just as enjoyable here. I'm Gahks, by the way (that's pronounced 'garks').

What genres do you like to read/write in? Do you have any hobbies/interests?

Once again, welcome to YWS!

Teehee, I'm having fun already. I was Jrid in elven PAradise by the way, in case anbody is interested.

As for genres, I'll read just about anything, but I'm heavily into fantasy. Most of my work has been in that genre. For some inexplicable reason I also really love vampires/werewolves. I'm almost finished my first novel, and it's about vampires. I want to post the first chapter, but I'm not sure which catagory to post it in.

Outside of reading and writing, I'm intersted in history. I'm going to university next year for histoiry, before getting my degree in library science. Surpirse! I want to be a librarian, as well as a writer.

I'm also big in the arts. I sing, and my sisters and I just cut our first demo.

Welcome!

I never joined TYWC. I just got into writing when I joined this site, which was after the old one shut down, so there wasn't any point.

PM when me you stop lurking and post something - I'd be happy to read it! I'm always trying to do more critiques.

I still have no idea where to post my vampire story. Doues it go in fantasy, or science fiction?
