Steampunk: The Schism.

The story is a fantasy with Victorian elements. It is loosely based on Arcanum.

Dwarves and Elves have been fighting for years, but finally Dwarves overcame them with superiour technology. But once peace was resolved and the elves evolved to the means. There was a split within the Dwarves who favoured power and felt technology was the best alternative. The world is also inhabitated by many fantasy monsters.

Humans: Divided into two class the working class and the upper. Try the best the to stay out of the other spieces way. Show a little racism for other speices. Unsure what is best some dabble in magic some in machinery. Some combine both.

Dwarves: Skillful miners and mercinaries, hired for strength and hits. Most consider magic taboo, living in huge underground metropolitian cities. Manafacture weapons and machinery for all who want them. There are some splits though.

-Traditional: Favour the old way, using all little technology as possible.

-Neoo: The major split of Dwarves, ambitious, proud and mad on techology. Despise anyone who's not a dwarve, especially elves.

-Swarves: Willing to mix both, but overall feel technology superiour. Own the arms trade and and conspricted achitects.

Elves: favour magic, build wonderful cities of raw materials, the most famous Kristalla. Rather than using technology they use magic to form the shapes. There is some schism in the elves two main groups.

-Hanneren: The new Elves ones who support technology more, small in groups hired along side dwarves. Darker skin with bright lumeniece eyes.

-Cleona: Elves who use to magic to build cities, exellent leaders, tall and compassionate

Traditional: Much like traditional Dwarves they love nature and avoid technology prefering to stay far away from advancments

Hybrids: Most hated of speices, combo of two speices.

Setting: A Large City, much like London, except much bigger and more industrial.

Okay, I think I'll try this... I've never tried a storybook before, but here you go:

History-(Brief lifestory) As a child she lived a very solitary life with only her parents. They avoided most people for her sake, staying in contact only with their closest friends. When she was maybe 6 or 7, her mother (the elf). So, her father moved with her to another city where they weren't known, and tells no one that she's part elf. They've kept it secret ever since then. But because of it, she hasn't been able to be close to a lot of people. But she's still had a fairly happy life, even though she misses her mother.

Personality (and a bit of a lifestory)- Gruff, a very blinkered dwarf who thinks that technology is the way forward and dwarves are the chosen spieceies. He is always working to develop bigger and better things to help the way everyone lives (especially dwarves) as the head of his company, Torokorp, that is slowly destroying natural resources to expand. Is a very typical proud Neoo.
Appearance-(Think Victorian.) Dressed always in a smart coat and top hat, he looks slightly ridiculous to other speices such as elves and humans, and he wears black shoes that are almost like platform shoes to increase in height so he is more imposing.
History-(Brief lifestory) Already covered most above, rich family and a father who always encouraged him that 'technology is the future'
Skills- Creating bigger and better technology.
Profession- Head of Torokorp

Name- Lyther

Species- Elf>Hanneren(convert, see history)

Hair Color- brown

Eye Color- stormy blue

Personality- pretty laid back, thoughtful and creative, but he has a short temper if you hit the right nerves, which have to do with his lineage, he speaks up if he disagrees or has an idea but he knows when to keep quiet

Appearance- facial appearance, he is very tall and wiry but pretty strong

History- His parents are both Traditional Elves but he never had much of a knack with magic and he doesn't like not knowing how everything works, so he ran away when he was 12 and started working with the Hanneren Elves. He looks different from the Elves there, and both Dwarves and Elves don't trust him. He feels a need to prove himself.

Skills- He's a quick learner, and very creative

Profession- A lowly worker at Torokorp

Personality- Cunning and overall street kid. Has a heart, and won't rob everyone. Drink heavily. With strong cockney accent.
Appearance-A ragged dinner jacket with simalar looking trousers. A cheeky grin and youthful looking face, with dirt over most of him.
History-Orphaned at an early age, lived in a workhouse most his life. Stole for a living. Practicing inventing contraption of sorts.
Skills- Pickpocketing, stealing, inventing and can drive a car
Profession- Whichever pays best. Moves between the docks and industrial district.

PS: Black star, I think you've come up with something intresting. I like the whole idea of company. This could help with the story.

History-(Brief life story) Parents are both elves, they don't really care much for her, but still take care of her. Her whole life, she hardly talked, and still barely does.

History: Her mother was working for a Cleona elf because she wanted to be around them and she was interested in them. He found her attractive and so...yeah. He left before Rikila was born and her mother left her with an upper class human family. She isn't allowed to go out because they don't want people knowing she's a hybrid, but she sneaks out at night from time to time.
Skills: Has tought herself to kind of use daggers and has a little magic but can't control it.

History- Doesn't know much about her parents, she spent the first half of her life switching between parents in secracy. When she was about 8 or 9 years of age she left her family to fend for herself. Hasn't seen parents since then. Tries to blend in with whatever species she's currently living with, but has been caught as a hybrid before. She has changed from living with elves to living with dwarves and back to elves multiple times. Currently lives with the elves.

Skills- is good at healing and bow and arrow

Well I wasn't going to bother until I knew more people were intrested.

The monsters are stuff like out of D&D. Drakes etc. But in the game this is loosely based on. You also have the problem of tourism people wanting to see them. No bother on asking. Glad this may work .

Name- Skye Woodrow

Speices- Traditional Elf

Hair Colour- Long and silvery blond

Eye colour- Blue-grey

Personality- Bubbly. There is no other way to describe Skye. She laughs, she sings, she smiles and she bubbles with enthusiasm and energy.

Appearance- Often likes to wear very fancy dresses with lots of frilly lace and fine silk shawls. Her favourite colours are white, grey, cream and blue. She hates bonnets but sometimes carries a pretty umberella.

History- Skye grew up in a picturesque little village in the heart of the forest, spending her time picking flowers, dancing with other elves, learning magic and herbalism and singing and laughing around camp fires, laying out under the stars all night with various lovers. Last month, her village was erased in a devastating forest fire. Skye only escaped because she was out gathering herbs at the time and one or two others survived but Skye can't stand to be around them, to be reminded of what she's lost. So she tells herself it isn't gone. That she's merely travelling, exploring the world, seeking thrills and adventure. And that's what she tells others. She makes a point of never telling a direct lie but she avoids the truth.

Skills- Skye's strongest skill is in the magic of illusion. She can make herself appear differently, disguising herself as others or even rendering herself invisible for short periods of time. She has literally no knowledge of technology, not even understanding such simple concepts as money (though she does know trade) and she is also a herbalist, knowing with herbs cqan be used to cure which injuries and how to find them. She can also play the flute and carries one with her.

Profession- She's currently moving from tavern to tavern, singing songs, playing the flute and dancing on tables to earn her keep. She has little intention for the future beyond forgetting her past and is quite naive towards the racial hatred that she has been sheltered from, not recognising the difference between staying with dwarves or humans or elves and in fact preferring to avoid the latter because of the memories they invoke.
