An Exercise in Narcissim

So, what to say about me? Well, my real name's James, and I am half English, a quarter Irish and a quarter Welsh. I live in the South East, not too far from London. I am addicted to writing stories, and have been pretty much since I could read them. I like writing near-future of alternate-present sci-fi and romantic fiction, but I'll read pretty much anything, as long as it interests me. I have dabbled in poetry, but find prose much easier.

I am currently doing my iGCSEs, and dream of reading philosophy at Cambridge. I can be needlessly sarcastic and quippy, but I wouldn't be any other way. I alternate between arrogance and self-hatred on a daily basis. When it comes to TV I am a compulsive fan of anything Joss Whedon is involved in, as well as Smallville, Spooks and Stargate. My favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell, with Lord of the Rings coming a close second.

I like playing rugby (badly), and enjoy sailing and windsurfing. Especially when I bring friends and scare the crap out of them by pretending we're sinking. What can i say, I'm evil like that. I care far too much about clothes then I probably should, and listen to Panic! At the Disco, Lostprophets, Linkin Park, and other such bands. I am an atheist who leans politically towards the left-wing. My star sign if a Virgo. Oh, and I play the drums, and really want to learn the piano one day.

Ah, Linkin Park, good choice. Learning to play the piano is one of those things that I know I want to do but will never get round to. Although I also really want to play the Guitar.

1984 is a good book, I must agree.

So, what is your favourite colour? Favourite ice-cream flavour? Favourite animal? Are you blonde? (OK, the last question was extremely random but you remind me of a boy I used to go to school with, but who moved about eight years ago.)
