What would you call spam?

I ask because it was in a thread recently, that I posted something in the Lounge that I thought was relevant, but I was told otherwise...

So... what would you class as spam?

ads that keep coming up that p*** you off...people that keep pushing something on you that you don't want to hear or buy from them...constant, stupid emails that you don't want or need...take your pick.

Anything that is off topic and not relevant to the thread. If you go off topic once, OK, but if you continue to have conversations with someone that really has nothing to do with the thread--or even if it does--and can be done all the same in a PM, then it's spam.


I'm not entirely sure we have a definition of it anywhere. I'll have to go looking.
