I thought the one that GMTV did was cruel - losing weight cream. They showed a video of this really fat woman (who was skinny when she went in the studio) who had shed the weight in a minuscule amount of time due this new cream.

Turned out she was just wearing a fat suit.

But the spaghetti tree one in the 50s is probably the best :P

The Spaghetti tree was truely awesome. For a long while after, my Grandad was apparently adamant that it did indeed come from trees XD
