Liz smiled and took the drink, a sob rising in her throat. She set the drink on the counter and wrapped her arms around Johnathan's waist tightly. "I'm sorry." She sobbed into his chest quietly.
I looked down at her and bit back my own tears. I had to be the strong one. I sighed and wrapped my arms around her tightly. "For what?" I whispered softly.
"For leaving. You save me from Tin and how do I repay you? By going to damn New York!" She said between sobs, sliding to the groud. She shook her head and cried more. "I'm sorry. Im sorry. I'm sorry!"
I sighed and slid down beside her, holding her tightly in my arms. "For what? Following your dream? It's selfish of me to even ask you to do otherwise. if I didn't have Sarah, I'd go with you. But..." I sighed. "I can't do that to her. To us. she's comfortable and happy here. I canzt leave. Or I would. In a heartbeat." I sighed and held her close. "Promise to call and I'll be...satisfied. and.." I bit back tears, "If you find someone else, I'll understand. three months is a long time to wait for a stupid jerk like me." I smiled.
Liz stopped crying for a second and looked up at him. "Why do you think I'll even want to find anyone else? I'm yours forever and always and you're not a jerk! I'll wait forever no matter what!" She smiled softly and hugged him tightly.
I chuckled. "I can't ask you to do that. I can't ask you to wait for me for any long period of time. I promise you, I'm not worth it. and I am a jerk." I sighed. "I wish I could come with you, love."
"One, you're worth more than anything I could ever have. Two, you are not a jerk. And three, I wish you could come to. It would be so much fun if you and Sarah could come. While me and the band were at work y'all could go around New York and I'd join you guys after work."
I chuckled. "Okay, love. If somebody has the money, or if I can get it, I'll go with you. But living in New York isn't cheap. and I don't know how I'll come up with the money. i'm sure Ryan's parents won't mind sending me...But.." I sighed. "I just don't think it's possible." I looked at her sadly. "And I'm really not worth it."
