Hello. My username is Memento Mori, which is in Latin. I got it from a song by Kamelot.

I am a newbie to this site, so I hope that you guys will forgive me for any mistakes I might commit.

Hi and welcome! This is going to be a lame welcome post, as I don't have much time, but I hope you have fun here. Don't worry about making mistakes. Lord knows I've made a ton of them, both on here and in life in general.

There is, however, one important rule that you should follow: Before posting something you wrote, review two pieces and keep your review/story ratio at least 2:1. This way, everybody gets reviews, people don't bombard the forums with all their stuff at once, and everybody's happy.

What do you write, read? Enjoy to do?

I enjoy writing contemporary fiction, but I don't think I'm any good at it.

I like reading any good book, and I'll appreciate any book, unless it really doesn't deserve publishing. (Example: Horrible perfect characters, horrible plot)

I enjoy listening to music, writing, reading, drinking coffee with friends and a good laugh never hurts.

Momento Mori litterally translates to, "Remember you are mortal, you will die." Colonial headstones especially feature this warning to ongoing spectators that pass their stone.

My Mayflower piece features this common saying in the 16 to 1700s as the title. It's interesting - and cryptic - that someone so young would choose a morbid motto and warning to the living, as a username. I have in my collection of headstones, "Momento Mori" being used.
