It has to do with feelings agains the dis establishment of a church or religious orginization.

supercalaphradgalisticexpialadocious is NOT A word. Its a made up word in a song in one movie. word, can be by definition, without definition. THAT does not have a definition.
For centuries, theologians have been explaining the unknowable in terms of the-not-worth-knowing.

Yeah, really, DQ, calm down. We're just having fun, jeez, you don't have to be serious all the time. Its a random topic, so this is acceptable.

You too, Qi, they are just kidding, and having fun. Its not deal to get all worked up about.

Does antidisestablishmentarianism really mean what I think it does? Because it seems awful simple when you break it down, anti-=against, disestablishment=to break down something, -arian=Um...just a suffix, doesn't add a whole lot of meaning, -ism, Like a school of thought or something.

So it's a school of thought that's against de-establishing stuff?

And uh, DQ, it's called the Randomness forum for a reason, and Qi wasn't saying supercailfragilisticxbalidocious was a word, he was supprting you. *coughduhcough*

Well you posted right after him and you sounded pissed so I just thought...oh whatever! Nm, I don't like arguing.

To get slightly back on topic, can someone check my breaking-down of antidisestablishmentarianism?

antidisestablishmentarianism
Originally, opposition to the disestablishment of the Church of England, now opposition to the belief that there should no longer be an official church in a country.
Don't know about the actual break down of the word though.

Some smarty pants in another forum said '"Smiles" is the longest word. You see, there is an entire mile between the first and last letters.'

The two words I know I can spell without looking are

1. Czechoslovakia (14 letters)
and
2. Heterochromia (13 letters)

Hieroglyphics isn't much of an accomplishment and neither is whippersnappers (Haha, I think of Nate when ever I use whippersnappers =D)

But I can spell Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia which is the fear of long words. That's..... a 36 letter word that I can spell without looking ^.^ Yay!

I've seen a couple on the back of shampoo bottles. And if you want a long word, as Aet, he has it on his website. (Titin's the shortened version.)

Actually... let me look for it... nope, can't find it.
