The Art of Assuming

I wrote this some while ago in response to some alegations by some very religious people, what do you think about it?

Religion has existed for uncountable years. Humans have had a lot of gods like: Zeus, Odin, Jupiter, Amon-Ra, the Sun, etc. Particularly I don’t believe that gods have ever existed or that they exist. But it is not that simple.
I have been arguing with a lot of people lately, some of them disagree with me and others agree. I could see that any part is going to give up and that still discussing this controversial topic would be pointless and unnecessary.
Why? Because we can’t know if is right or wrong. The only truth is that nobody knows the truth, we can assume as long as we want and claim our veracity, even give amazing arguments and a have a lot of sources to back up those arguments but in the end all that information came from another human. The Bible. Who wrote it? Who translated it? Who redacted it? A human like you and like me, could he or she be inspired by a god? Maybe, maybe not.
That’s why we can’t assume that religions own the one and only truth. Any religion is wrong but any religion is right also.
Now, Creation? Evolutionism? I must confess that when I first saw the point of view of the people I was shocked; it was a very hermetic opinion or a very receptive.
Do we know if it was a Big Bang? –No. Do we know if it was a great creation? –No.
We don’t know people, that’s the truth, we’re assuming. We supposedly know just that. There are always going to be persons that attack or defend each side, but that one side has more acceptance or followers doesn’t make their history or belief more relevant or true than the other.
Religion can’t be the center of everything. We can’t just breath, talk, eat, work, etc. to religion, that’s not healthy and I’m sure that if god could talk, he/she would tell you to take a break. Also the doctrines of churches or religions can’t be completely accepted because they started centuries ago, you must agree with in that the way of living, thinking and acting is not the same right now that 1000 thousand years ago. For that I came to the conclusion that it’s time to a little change or a fix. Nobody needs to be a fanatic or a close minded, religious or atheist.
I can’t say that god does not exist or that he does and expect everyone to swallow it just like that. As I said both sides can give amazing statements but we don’t know is they are right or wrong.
The truth is that WE are here. Do we have a major purpose? Do we have a special motive? –Who knows!
But I’m sure of one thing; if we continue the searching for answers the search itself will give us more questions.
Maybe in some moment of human history we’ll know what we don’t know now, until that they comes we need to be united and no divided by what we believe is right or wrong to believe. We have a lot do to improve our world and our society. Remember that we are all ignorants in some way.

You're supposed to post reviews before you post your own work.
Please, sit down before you fall down.
