egtting fatter and changing nappies? Sorry to sound like an ignorant American, but could you translate that for me?

Well when you're pregnant you get fat - shallow of me but I'm fat enough. And the thoguht of somone growing inside me...I think I'll skip all that thank you very much. Changing nappies, diapers whatever they're called I can do without. I have zero maternal instincts, I can't stand children. They cry, they throw up over you and just...I don't like seeing myself as a mother doing mother stuff lol.

I agree with Gal about the gestures and saying "I love you" but only if you mean it lol otherwise it's just cruel.

oh GETTING fatter. Haha, I though egtting was some kind of slang. Oops...silly me. I've never heard 'nappies' before, I may just have to start using it. I can't stand American English.

Aww... I can't wait to be a mother! Well, not that I want to be anytime too soon... LOL... but the thought of carrying another life inside my body is just... amazing. Awe-inspiring. The greatest gift. Seriously... that's incredible.

Not that it'll be easy or won't hurt like crap... but still. I can't wait to be a mother... I think I'll be good at it. I have two younger sisters and an older sister that's just as helpless ( ) so I've had plenty of practice. Add to that my oft-absent mother  and I definitely know how to handle that kind of stuff...

When I was in 6th grade we had "morning buddies." They way it would work was for me to help one of my younger sisters get ready (dressed, shoes and socks, breakfast, backpack, etc.) and my older sister would help the other. It really sucked that we had to do all that kind of stuff (my older sister frequently made dinner) because our mom wasn't there.... I never want my kids to have to experience that.

The randomness forum is both for random topics AND for threads that have gone too far off topic. So it's fine lol.

Personally, I'm excited about having kids someday. I know I'll complain about the pain lol, but to finally hold that baby in your arms and realize that YOU'VE been the one carrying it and creating it, and that this precious thing is now your responsibility.. Wow.

Of course, the teen years will be interesting..

It's gonna be hard not to try to influence him/her somehow, though. I'll probably shove all my instruments/writing into his/her face, saying, "LOOK! You want to learn THESE!!"

I'm gonna be such a crappy mother lol! Nah, I think I'll be alright.. It'll definitely be interesting, though. And the father had better be there..

Crysi wrote:Lol! Well, I'm sure you won't want to hear this, but it depends on the girl.

Personally, I like poetry, flowers, a guy who can make me laugh at his jokes and smile at his sweetness, guitar serenades, dancing with the guy, and hugs. Lots of hugs.

Ooh! I can do all/most of those!

*laughs* A guy can think that's amazing too.. He just has to think it's amazing that the woman is carrying it.
