You're right Midnight, there's a totally different culture of drinking here. Because you cannot drink until 21, underage alcoholism is a real problem. College freshmen drinking themselves to death is an all too common problem, because they don't know how to handle indulging in forbidden behaviours. A lot of kids go nuts once they reach college. It's pretty insane, and really upsetting.

And yes, Sureal, drugs ARE bad.

Incan--I have my sense of humor, you have yours. Unfortunately, they don't compat. Oh well, big loss on my part...no.

Hon, I'm glad you're excited about this girl, just be careful, okay? Don't go giving your heart away too soon. I dated the same boy from sophmore year on and when he left me for another girl at the end of this summer it nearly destroyed me. Looking back, I know we should have parted ways much much sooner...but he was safe, and I had so much invested in the relationship...or thought I did...

ONE MORE THING

You're a baby, like me!! I'm not going to be 19 for 3 more weeks, and I'm a college freshman. I was also 13 going on 14 leaving jr. high. Rock on, brother!

Me personally!
I like tea, drawing, sweets, trampolampolampolampolining(going on a trampoline), singing, pretty clothes, shopping and lots of other stuff

What I would like is a boyfriend. Haven't had one in ages. *sighs* When I do have a boyfriend Im always hyper and happy. Now, I'm just a sack of potatoes. Completely bored and annoyed. Oh well! I'm still happy though. I want someone to give cuddles to and to recieve hugs back, someone to make me happy and excited. It could happen one day.

well I'm only 15, and i started "dating" when i was 13 i think. Ah, those were the days.

i LOVEEEE it when a guy gives me his shirt. Oh, and just holding hands is really nice, especially when the fingers are inter-locking.

About alcohol...the first time i got drunk i was 13. On vodka and coke. Eugh.

Yup :). That's why I very rarely go near 'em.
But hey, at least I don't smoke :).

Oh yah - add that to the list. You might think smoking makes you look cool... but it ruins your breath (not good when you're kissing). Not to mention your health, stamina, looks and the fact that they may well cause you to die an early death.

So - don't smoke.
I wrote the above just for you.

For me I wouldn't like a smoker or a drinker...and he'd have to understand I never want kids (I'm so gonna spend life alone lol XD).

:D *cough* *cough*

Anyways... Smokers don't care if you you are a smoker too. Since you both have cancer sticks, no one will complain. Actually I think they get off on eachother if they can taste one another's nicotine through kissing. Get's them hormones rushing and the drive to smoke. It's the life if you are a smoker.

Ahhh, no kids? No little toddlers to run around gurgling, and for you to say, "Tommy, get back here and finish your soup!" Yep, and the husband will be on the couch watching football with a keg- I mean bag of popcorn. His belly will be plump and sagging over his belt line, and little Tommy will say, "I want to be just like daddy!" It's the life if you are a husband.

Lollipop, it would do you good to learn to be hyper and happy on your own, then worry about being hyper and happy with a boyfriend. You're only 13! Jeez girl! Your job right now is to learn to be YOU, just YOU and only YOU. Not YOU with BOY. Don't EVER EVER EVER EVER rest all your hopes in one person, or let that person provide you with all your happiness. NEVER let a man define who you are.

Hmm. Blue Stone, I hope the man I marry is more upstanding than a bump on a log, thank you. It's not okay to leave the kids to the woman and lay on the couch a useless boob. You may have been kidding, but it's been proven that kids raised by BOTH parents turn out better. More emotionally stable, better adjusted, more compassionate, greater sense of self. I should hope that if little Tommy's daddy lays on a couch drinking beer, little Tommy's mommy will have the sense to teach little Tommy that there's more to life than booze and sports.

Hon, in that situation, it's best to leave the woman to do the parenting... Why? Because I really don't think Tommy's daddy would do anything to help besides conflict and confuse the child. The worse thing is to have a child so young experience two ways of life, one with the father, and one with the mother. It stresses out and depresses the child. And if the mother were to divorce the man on the couch, then she's done her child the favor of screwing his life. She might as well stick with the pathetic relationship and have first priority to her child. Children come first.

There are plenty of relationships like this... So getting away from it is impossible; have have to see and experience it. But I guess it's your choice to go that route. Once you see the man he really is, get out quick before children root you down. Life is about dodging the problems, and running smooth. Love grows old, just like how your body grows with it. New love is sprouted from the children you have. New love over old? I take new anyday... Same thing with men. You have your wife which is old love, then another woman comes along, and that's the new love. New over old like always!

I've been dating since I was 13 and I'm fixing to be 16. One thing's for sure...I won't go out with someone who smokes or drinks. I hate the smell and everything. Sorry to those who either smoke or drink.

Dreaming mouse:
My sister said she wasn't going to have kids for years around your age, and a little older, and my niece is the cutest kid on the planet.

Blue Stone:
That isn't true. I was raised by both my parents and wasn't confused. Being raised by both parents is healthier for the child than only having a mother. Children need male and female dominant influences to develop normally. Men like that are by no means the majority.

I have this thing about smoking, i dont like even having friends who smoke or drink, though drinking doesnt bother me as much.

egtting fatter and changing nappies? Sorry to sound like an ignorant American, but could you translate that for me?

I want to have children. In fact, I would be surprised if I didn't have kids. I love children, and I am really excited to someday be a mother.

Someday.

I also want to have an acting career, a flourishing career. I want to travel. I want to live a full life as ME before I live a full life as a loving wife and mother. And I think it's possible. So.

ANYWAY

Back on topic: Any sincerely made gesture of affection will be appreciated, even if it fails miserably. That's the best advice I can offer.

I was flummoxed by fractious Franny's decision to abrogate analgesics for the moribund victims of the recent conflagration. Of course, to display histrionics was discretionary, but I did so anyways, implicating a friend in my drama to make the effect cumulative. I think a misanthrope would have a prosaic appellation, perhaps one related to autonomy and the rejection of anthropocentrism. I think they wouldn't think much of the prominence of watching the coagulation of tea to prognosticate future malevolent events, not even if those events were related to jurisprudence.
