After watching his favorite show Death Note derek found himself bored. Making a decision to log onto YWS to check up on things there.

His index finger gently tapped enter. Before his hand even had time to move away from the enter button a vortex appeared. His body twist and turned in the vortex and his body flew into the labtop screen.

He landed on his back and the breath was knocked out of him. His vision was blurred and his head was throbbing. A blurry figure stood over him.

"Hey you should probably get up ya know" A older girl stood over him. Her long black her tickling him face. His vision had retuned to normal and the throbbing had stopped.

Derek tried to stand, he used his elbows to prop himself up into a sitting position. The girl put her hand out to help him stand. He grabbed her hand an stood up.

She pushed her hair out of her right eye and said

"Hi, My name is Vlora."

Arris clung to Griff but the light of the beam intensified and both were pulled upwards towards the opening in the ship.

"Help us!" Arris shouted.

"Come on everyone, we'll take over the ship from the inside!" Kitty suggested, throwing herself into the beam and not looking back to see which members had followed. She felt her body drawn upwards and at the same time she began to feel drowsy and her eye-lids drooped.

"Don't..." Griff fought against the sedative. "The rest of you stay back..." Kitty realised her mistake and tried to fight against the drug, tried to at least turn and see just how many she had lured into the alien's trap.

"Sorry..." she mumbled.

Some of my pings started to close out. I caught a glimpse of Heather's before it disappeared, We're going to the fantas... I sighed, something must've happened. Some members had made it here and were presently chatting with each other and discussing what had happened.

"I'm going out to find some answers, guys. Stay here and keep the chat safe. Hasta luego, amigos."

A chorus of goodbyes and be carefuls came from them and then they went back to debating. I strode over to the chat well and placed my forepaws on the rim. For the first time I noticed an opposable thumb on each paw. Werewolves have it all. I thought as I launched myself over the wall and into the depths of the well. Which weren't, in fact, very deep at all. I landed with and thud on the top of the YWS homepage.

I stood and looked around, below me was a little cliff. Okay, a big cliff. I leaned over a bit and saw a house with the words HOME and [SQUILLS] displayed below it. I stood up and realized that I didn't even have to lean over like that. Identical buttons stood on the top of the ledge. I walked down the line until I found LITERARY printed on the ledge. I pressed the paper icon above it and a ladder appeared and descended into a newly formed hole.

I grabbed a hold of the ladder, tested my weight on it, and slowly descended. Far below me I saw the Literary Forums, all in order. I sighed and ran my paw through the fur on my head, how was I going to get all the way down to the Fantasy section?

"Must... stay... awake!" Grif yelled. Piercing the drowsiness, he activated an adrenaline rush. It took a few seconds for it to take effect.

Up in the saucer he was aware of aliens surrounding him. Then the adrenaline rush hit him. With a smooth movement he was off the floor and grabbed the nearest alien. Grif was a blur of motion and the alien fell to the floor dead. One of the aliens pulled a weapon, but just as quickly Grif was on top of the alien. He wrenched the weapon from the alien's hands, and opened fire. In a fluid motion, Grif stomped the alien warrior's head into the metal, even as he opened fire on the closest alien. The others tried to open fire, but Grif moved too fast. In ten seconds it was over.

Kitty15 and FireArris lay on the floor of the ship. Alien blood covered nearly every surface and their bodies lay in a semi-circle around Grif. Grif checked on them, they were just unconscious. He left them a pair of weapons, before he armed himself and went to take control of the ship.

Kitty awoke to find herself laying on an unfamiliar surface splattered with blood beside Arris and two large, bulky weapons.

"Arris?" she nudged the other girl gently before hurrying to her feet, avoiding the pools of red and drawing both the weapons towards her. "Arris!"

"What... oh wow." Arris stared around the ship, taking in the blood, the weapons and her companion.

"Here," Kitty passed one of the weapons over and then headed down a corridoor. "Let's go find Griff." She stepped gingerly around the blood at first and then gave in, gliding through the liquid and throwing cautious glances around each corner.

They soon reached another deposit of bodies and Kitty turned one over curiously to inspect the wound.

"Got to be Griff's work, right?" Arris asked.

"Most likely but let's be careful."

Via had been seperated from the others in the chaos and was now running around aimlessly.

Admittedly, she wasn't exactly paying attention to what was infront of her. She was rather looking around for someone while running, it was only a matter of time before she ran into something. Not long at all, in fact, as she tripped over a green gooky object and right into kitty15.

They both fell and ended up knocking heads in a 'haha! ...actually that really kind of hurt' kind of way. Via laughed and glanced to the dead alien looking green slime, "Who put that there?"

Firearris took her new weapon and walked with Kitty through a room with more bodies and blood, they turned one over to see the wound.

"Got to be Griff's work, right?" Fire asked.
"Most likely but let's be careful." Kitty responded. Suddenly Via crashed into them.

"Who put that there?" Via asked.
"We think, Griff did." Fire answered.

They walked through the room and looked for another door or hallway. Fire kept her weapon up just in case. They found a door and went through it for more bodies.

"Man, Griff is a fast killer." Kitty said.
"And a detrimend one too." Fire added as they dodged bodies and blood once again.

Via went with kitty15 and FireArris through the rooms shaking her head, "Why do we always have to have aliens?"

She kind of chuckled, "I think they just follow Grif wherever he goes."

Via stopped and raised an eyebrow, "Wait, how is this helping us get out? I have a term paper due tomorrow....I don't have time for alien slaying!"

"Then let's try to make this quick," Kitty chuckled.

"Wait, I didn't say I wanted to write the paper..."

"I don't suppose..." Kitty paused, checking the weapon and wondering if the safety was on. Then she wondered if it even had a safety catch. She pointed it at the wall and squeezed the trigger.

"I think we've safely established a lack of safety catch," Kitty noted.

"How come I don't get a weapon?" Via asked, admiring the hole in the wall and scattered debris.

"I'm sure one of the aliens has a spare, why not ask them?" Fire suggested.

"Good point..." Via returned to one of the bodies, turned it over with the toe of her shoe and extricated the gun from its hands.

"Shall we proceed?" Kitty asked. Arris and Via both nodded so they set off again, soon picking up a trail of bloody footprints.

Via went with kitty15 and FireArris through the rooms shaking her head, "Why do we always have to have aliens?"

She kind of chuckled, "I think they just follow Grif wherever he goes."

Via stopped and raised an eyebrow, "Wait, how is this helping us get out? I have a term paper due tomorrow....I don't have time for alien slaying!"

"Well, I figure the police are searching for you right now, and your school knows; so, they might give you an extra day cause you were missing." Fire said, as she shrugged.

Via laughed, "It's funny that you think my college cares. Some kid has probably stolen my laptop by no---"

She got cut off. Suddenly she couldn't keep her balance, it was like her world was spinning: sideways, back and forth, up and down. She fell to the ground and still couldn't sit still...it felt like an earthquake!

But, the others were fine...standing perfectly still.

"What are you doing?" FireArris asked, confused.

"Nothing! I'm not doing it!" Via exclaimed loudly as if the movement made her unable to hear.

Then it dawned on her. Her laptop was being moved...that's why no one else felt it. It was hers and hers alone! "Correction, I think some kids just stole my laptop!"

"AHH!" an alien screamed as it was mowed down by gun-fire. Grif moved through the recently cleared corridor, carefully checking for threats and movement. He moved into another corridor and found it guarded by one alien.

They opened fire at the same time and both moved very quickly. Bullets and plasma impacted against metal with equal vigor as both opponents fired unceasingly. Grif discarded his assault rifle and brought out the next weapon. A burst of plasma flew over his head and Grif turned to return fire. The mini-gun was fully armed and if he had been anywhere else but the Sci-fi section, he was pretty sure it wouldn't exist.

He saw movement and Grif fired. For the next minute, the mini-gun screamed, firing hundreds of rounds downrange. The walls were covered in bullet holes and smoked streamed from the end of the barrel. With all rounds expended, he dropped the mini-gun.

Slowly the alien left hiding, with a weapon leveled at Grif. This one was much better armored than the others. Then, he did something unexpected. With a smooth movement, the alien discarded the weapon. Grif understood; this would be a real fight.

The two warriors engaged in hand to hand combat. They were a blur of motion as move and counter-move were made at blindingly fast speeds. Grif had seen this before, it was like the matrix.

His motion sensor picked up more aliens coming his way. He'd have to take care of his enemy quickly. He thought for a moment too long though and the alien sent him across the corridor into a bunch of barrels. Then Grif saw the very items he needed: a toothbrush, Windex, a purse, and a teapot. He worked quickly.

"Where are we... Good question." I looked around the room. "It looks like we landed in the Young Writers' Society." I smiled at his bemused look.

The link looked impossibly high. I'd have to scale that white cliff, but how? I absently fingered my- sword? Where'd that come from? "Um, I can't really explain, but i need to get up there." I pointed at the link.

His answer was a grin. "I can get you up there." With a wave of his staff, a glowing bubble appeared. "Hop in."
