Grif entered the password in and hit enter.

Suddenly and inexplicably, the computer exploded, and knocked Grif unconcious.

When he woke up, he had a massive headache. He knew something was wrong immediately. Before his eyes there were a variety of status reports and information. He recognized it immediately, it was the data displays one would see in YWS MJOLNIR armor.

He tested his movement and found his reflexes were as fast as ever. He noticed that other people were nearby and moved quickly over to find out what was going on.

"Aye, I wouldn't mind hauling a few of you sacks of potatoes up to the My YWS bar," Saint said, surging upward with a few powerful flaps of her wings. She looked up, seeing a character dressed in orange armour looking down at them.

"Grif!" she called, reading the minute writing floating above his head. She waved, urging Yoda to hold out her arms. "Be up there in a minute!"

She interlocked her arms with Via's and surged up to meet Grif, waiting for FireArris to follow suit.

Firearris grabbed bubbles and flew behind Saint. When they made it up, they put bubbles and via down before going back for the rest of the people.

It took Grif a few moments to get oriented, but it didn't take too long.

This had happened before.

He had been in YWS before, in some of the most ridiculous stories perpetrated by authors. He had, on many occasions, been dispatched to drag them back into reality. Never had this occurred on such a large scale.

Bubbles, Via, Saint Razorblade, and FireArris appeared before him.

"Grif! YWS has gone haywire."

"I know."

"How do we stop it?" Bubbles asked. Grif thought back through the secrets of YWS, secrets that few mods knew about and that only the very creative could dream exist.

"I don't know, but I have an idea where to start. We'll have to find Adelaide first."

Vern and Choc stood in front of me as I tried to comprehend Vern’s last sentence. I gave up quickly and raised an eyebrow;

“Mind repeating all that?”

He laughed, nodding as he repeated his garbled sentence, a smile still firmly on his face,

“Pingu, how are you? Don’t go into the fantasy section, you’ll regret it.”

Looking at him, I noticed he was in full armour and holding a gold broadsword.

“Great… thanks. What’s the go with the armour? Fighting a dragon in Fantasy were you?” He laughed again, glancing at the silvery text following me. “Ah, didn’t you get a ping too? I thought I saw you both with envelopes?... Nevermind, I’ll tell Lay you’re with me, and then I think we should get going to the Home Page, okay?”

I turned to the floating text and pulled out my blue pen again, writing along a new letter:

“Hey Lay, I’m glad you’re getting some replies back, I’m going to do what I can to get there as soon as. Vernon and Choc are here with me, so we’ll travel together for now, okay? Let me know if you’re in need of anything you think I’ll come across. See you on the flip side. “

Turning back from the text I blinked slowly at Vern and Choc and ducked a title dripping clear liquid. “So… shall we?”

Ok, I thought, time to get out of here. I've been chased by an army of cartoon characters, nearly eaten by a monster, and... helped Ed find his brother. Was it really Edward Elric?

"Let's see, My YWS, blogs, where's the blasted homepage link?"

"Need a hand?" somebody said. I prepared for another wacky encounter.

None of them seemed to understand what Grif said, confirming that they either had never heard of Adelaide or had no interest in finding her. He was surprised at neither. She was the YWS AI and ran in the background, well out of site of the normal visitors and even of most moderators. She had only been activated in extreme emergencies and even then, her activities were usually attributed to Nate.

With more and more moderators appearing in YWS, it was futile to post a message in the mod forum any mod that logged on would just be stuck with the others. If he could get to Adelaide, then they could work on the problem from the inside and hopefully come up with a way around it.

There was only one place that Adelaide dwelt, only one place secret enough that she could avoid detection. It would be dangerous though and he looked for moderators, but they were busy keeping the growing number of members calm and looking for lost members. They couldn't keep it up for long.

"I'm going down to the Science Fiction area to get Adelaide. Who's with me?"

"I'm going down to the Science Fiction area to get Adelaide. Who's with me?" Grif asked.
"I'm in!" Firearris said as she walked over to Grif.

"Sceince fiction? My genre all the way," Kitty agreed, feeling much more comfortable now that a more knowledgable member was here to help them, "But where exactly do we have to go?" She climbed off Arris' back, one of the last to be flown up and joined the group that had gathered around the orange clad figure. Like moths to a flame, Kitty thought happily.

"Inside the story," Griffinkeeper explained, "so it will be dangerous."

"This writer isn't afraid of any story!" one of the other members exclaimed excitedly.

"Then you've not read enough horror," Via stated. "But you can count on us, Griff though maybe we can go post that bulletin in the mod forum or the lounge first? More members trapped in here is not what we need."

"Science fiction? A bit out of my league, but I'll stay optimistic," Saint remarked, still hovering overhead, enjoying the use of her new wings.

She looked to Via, standing just below the reach of her feet.

"By the way, wouldn't it be necessary to be able to log into the site in order to see a bulletin about not logging into the site? I mean, we all got sucked in when we logged in, right? I don't think a bulletin in one of the forums is going to do much good. Especially the mod forum, where not everybody can access it."

She looked to Grif.

"D'you think there's a way to make it so you can't log in anymore? Or is that Nate's territory?"

Via shook her head, "But then Nate couldn't log on and we might never get out."

Geeze this is one weird dream, Via thought to herself and turned to kitty15 who was pondering her own course of action silently.

She turned back to Raz, "We could make a post in the lounge? But that could induce panic where panic need not be. What if the site isn't sucking everyone in? What if there is a particular glitch that is only pulling certain people in for certain reasons? Like maybe the format they use or a favorite music selection in their profiles or something like that? Maybe if we could figure that out we could change it and get out of here and then try to fix it?"

Sish was bored and tired having just finished her english coursework.

She typed in her username and password and hit enter. Nothing happened. "Damn keyboard!" She hit the side of it and hit enter again. This time, something definitely happened!

Sish felt as though she had been hit on the head with a brick. Standing up she saw a towering column of words, titles in fact, with dates beneath them.

She groaned and rubbed her head. Finding two antenae stuck out of her forehead she blinked in surprise and flapped her wings... wings?

"Oh my god! I am a bee! Stupid username..."

Fortunately she wasn't all bee, so she decided to do a little exploring...

The character- if that's what he was- smiled. "I can get you out of here."

There's something very familiar about him, I thought. Let me see: deep purple eyes, a face that's literally white... Tsucasa! "What are you doing here?" I blurted.

"I've always been here," he said. Then he frowned. "You're not a new player, are you?"

I shook my head. "I dunno how to say this... We're not in 'The World.'" Which means he can't help me, I thought.

"Nice," said Tsucasa. "What game is this, then?"

"D'you think there's a way to make it so you can't log in anymore? Or is that Nate's territory?"

"Adelaide runs the website. If we can get to her, we can take the site down until we can fix it." Grif responded.

"All right then, lead the way," Kitty15 said.

Grif thought about it for a moment. Then he slowly made his way along the toolbar and came to the Writing Button. He touched it and a ladder came down and he entered the Read & Review portal.

He landed on top of the Poetry Forums. Slowly he climbed down until he landed on the fiction forums. Finally, he arrived at the Science Fiction portal. He entered into the forum.

Firearris followed Griff, and was soon in the science fiction section. Then she saw a big saucer above them.
"Um...Griff. The aliens are here." Firearris said as she stepped closer to him. A green ray came out of the UFO and landed on her, then she started floating. She grabbed a hold of Griff.
"I don't want to be sucked up!!!" She shouted.
