Hey there,

How's you?
My name is Omar....I don't really speak French, in case I mislead you... but I'm learning I used to write stories as a kid - I had this diary full of short stories and stuff. I sort of gave it up in high school...you know, for obvious reasons.

I'm trying to get back into the habit, but it's really hard...I think I have a fear of writing and coupled with the fact that I didn't take English classes - I'm sort of in a fix. But I'm trying to write fiction...sort of like learning to walk like my niece. Hopefully, I will come up with something for my mum's club newsletter in March...she's been nagging me for months. I joined this group for some inspiration!

Pfft, long into. That isn't close to being long You should see other peoples intros. Now those are long. Newbies never bore us ^.^

Writing is hard to me too. I have tons and tons of awesome ideas but I mostly can't keep myself writing. Try typing instead of using pencil and paper. Plus, YWS helps me a lot. Try joining a storybook, it allows you to write but not write a whole book by yourself. If you need help with storybooks, writing, or anything else, PM me. I don't bite....except my friends when they hug me. That's the only thing that gets them off XD

^_^ This is a great place for inspiration and encouragement. I find it pretty cool you kept a diary of short stories. =P I didn't start writing until after I read Harry Potter. Don't worry about not taking english; it helps but it's not necessary. I've heard of this guy once who could write but couldn't read so he didn't know what he wrote! Still, he's an author. =P All you need is some practice! Once you've done a few reviews, post something for people to read! Don't feel discouraged if you don't get the greatest feedback right away, if people are taking the time to critique your work it's because they think you have potential and want to help.

Et, je devrais te dire, j'étais déçu que tu ne parlais pas vraiement le français. Mais je te pardonne! I speak french. I actually go to an all french school. =P
