WICHFORD MANOR

The Night air breeze stroked my cheek, as wandered blindly through the dense wood. The ghostly moon, hung in the pitch black darkness.-Its dim gaze being my only light. I can feel beads of sweat dripping down my cheek. I can feel the fear within me. My Nan, a witch she was, and I mean literally as well. Well that’s what I have always thought. Because every time I spent the night there, strange things began to happen; all the light and happiness would vanish and be replaced by only darkness and fear. The one place I hated most in the world, was the one place my weak legs were carrying me right now. It was my old Nan’s manor. With every stride I took, my heart rate would increase. It’s as if my body knows the darkness that lies ahead, but still my brain refuses and pushes me further into the wilderness. I knew it wouldn’t be long before my only light the moon, would give up and get sucked behind the dark clouds. I thought I would have had at least a few more minutes, but I was wrong. I looked up, and almost cried as the ghostly sphere drifted behind the clouds. I instantly felt a change in the air around me, cold unnatural air. I shivered as I thought back to what my mum had said before I left.
‘Sweetie, make sure you arrive before the moon fades away, I’ve heard stories I have. About youngsters like you that go missing after dark, but there’s know need to worry now is there, cus you’re a smart lad and you no better than to mess wid the darkness.’
That’s what she had said, but she was wrong and I would probably never see her again. The moon had gone, darkness was here, and I was alone-a sitting duck. Hell has arrived.

If you ever find yourself in the wrong story, leave.
