This took forever to get done. If you notice, it's not even finished. For more work -- visit -- kimberlykat.deviantart.com

That is amazing Kim! The only complaint that I have is it's hard to tell the microphone from his chin...they kind of blend together a little.

This is really great, though! I have the hardest time with doing portraits of african americans because with caucasians you can just leave it white and it's not a problem. It wonderful how you've captured everything about his being in this one portrait.

What did you use..lead?

O_O

*blinks* Holy flying custard, that's impressive. It looks very realistic, like those portraits you see in museums or history textbooks.

I agree with Via, the microphone is the biggest drawback. It looks like he's got like, a finger coming out of his chin or something.

But man. You could market this thing and make bank off of it.

Wow.

That is... awesome. I think you should have a little more contrast with the background, though. The picture doesn't blend with it or anything. I just think it would look better. Other than the microphone, I can't find anything else. It's... wow. Just wow. I have not the patience for such a masterpiece. Wow.

Wow!
Nice work. I like it.
Old people are sweet. XD
You have a talent.
As Via mentioned the Microphone is a bit hard to see. Maybe you should really darken it or something.
Maybe some crowds in the back ground or something.
nice work,

Wow. You did a wonderful job on this! There's no need for me to echo what's already been said about the microphone, so I won't. It amazes me how artists can draw portraits of people and get them to look perfect. It seems like you would have to memorize every strand of hair and every skin pore in order for it to come out just right.

You've blown me away with is. Very well done!! :D

That's so lifelike, it looks so much like an old photograph and I really have nothing else to add. If it gets finished I'd love to see it.
