I Won't Let My Guard Down on You Again

My mind can't take it (anymore)
So what can I do?
I found out that alcohol can't
Mend my heart like they say it would
I replay the scenes of endless dreams
That I shared with you before.
Oh, I found out. (2x)
You don't love me anymore.
My heart can't take it
Because you keep breaking it (2x)

I've let down my guard down on you.

(2x)
But this time I'll take a knife out (3x)
I won't give you another chance
To take my life out

How can I fight?
If you are continually hurting me.
Oh, I bled
When you said you wanted goodbye
I should have know better
You didn't have to try anymore
You easily wounded me
While in the arms of another
My heart can't take it
Because you keep breaking it (2x)

(2x)
But this time I'll take a knife out (3x)
I won't give you another chance
To take my life out

(How did you do the things that you did?)
Now you say sorry for the mistakes that you did
(How did you say the things that you said?)
You say you're sorry you hurt me?
(Yes you've hurt me)

(2x)
But this time I'll take a knife out (3x)
I won't give you another chance
To take my life out
(Ahhhh...)

You've made this heart break
So say it if you mean it
If you don't, don't say it
If you don't, say nothing at all.
You made this heart break.
So say it if you mean it
If you don't, don't say it.

I won't let my guard down on you again... (3x)

I love it. Very interesting, sad, but I can imagine it having a good rythm. What happened to make you write this? Is it anything in specific?
There could be an abundance of reasons why I wear these over-sized sunglasses.
But for now, annoying you seems like a perfectly valid one.

I'm gonna get this one with my big red EMO stamp!

....*stamps*

As a generic modern alt song, this would be just dandy, because, hey, it's written about as well as half of those. Unfortunately, it's just a tad lacking on the originality side. I'm sick and tired of hearing about broken hearts and knives and blah blah blah. In fact, I think we all are. So...give this some sort of a melody and you'll have a song, but it's certainly not an example of fantastic songwriting.
"My pet, I've been to the devil, and he's a very dull fellow. I won't go there again, even for you..."

This made me sad.... not in a good way either.... depressed really. The point of this useless crit is that you poured your feelings on paper or in this case.... screen. Good work. To tell you the truth you could have made this some much shorter. You don't want the reader or listener to wonder 'how much longer could this be.' Hope this helps.

I have to say, emo emo emo emo emo em eo emo emo emo emo. Because it really is. And that's not... that good.

My mind can't take it (anymore)

I found out that alcohol can't
Mend my heart like they say it would

You don't love me anymore

Because you keep breaking it

Cliche, cliche, cliche, cliche, EMO.

GACK. I think you got what I want to say.

Now, if each of these words meant something else, I would have had SO much fun singing it! I was singing it, actually, and it sounded really good, except the meaning of the words and the words themselves. I really like how you connect the words--like the "breaking" and "take" parts, one line after the other, are good.

I don't have anything else to say, really. This was okay, though I have seen it about ten times before.

PM me if you don't understand the crit or anything!

it is so far away
