Hmmm. Yes, I must concur, this poem is abstract. It flowed nicely, didn't waste time elaborating(as SOME people are known to do on YWS...won't mention any names, you all know who you are), and got me interested. I will now read it again.
Well, since Homer is mentioned, it's obvious your poem has something to do with poetry. But what does the school and the senior? Perhaps the senior IS Homer...*ponders*...Perhaps. If he isn't, then I have no idea why you mention Homer at all. And I am also at a loss as to the meaning of the third stanza.
