Ok, this one is kind of old, but I was going through my pile of paper's after my release from Reasearch Psychiatric a few years ago and found this. Well, found and revamped this. Tell me what you think!

Nut House

I never promised you a rose garden,
I never told you angel tales,
I only showed the dank reality
Of try, fall, reach, flail, fail…
Again.

Faceted reflection of a thousand,
That I don’t recognize,
In the tempered will that they allow me
To view my disgrace
As the tears I never cried
Shatter on bare feet.

The Semblance slithers under the tombstone
Of repressed memories and symbolic psychoses,
Because in here it no longer matters,
In here they already know,
In here I can be as crazy as they say you are.

The sibilant hiss of revelation is like a drug
Sweet freedom of the hidden lust
To just be who?
Unreality.

Disturbed on unit in thin sheet robes,
As if this was really a hospital,
As if my sickness could be cured,
As if my violence could be hidden by,
Paper flower cloth.

Rain smeared lipstick on the outside,
Recreational glass kissed goodbye,
Because they know out there,
That the zombie will come out to play.

Sanity prison bars as a phsycho-ologist’s
Signature on yellow wallpaper parchment.
I didn't lose my mind, I sold it on E-bay.

This is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! I can't say how much I adore this!

"Rain smeared lipstick on the outside,
Recreational glass kissed goodbye,
Because they know out there,
That the zombie will come out to play.

Sanity prison bars as a phsycho-ologist’s
Signature on yellow wallpaper parchment."

I love this last tow stanzas. They finished the poem off perfectly.

Hello! Well, I have more time now to explain things. A few ears ago I,erm, kind of went crazy. As in CRAZY. I heard oices, saw things, burnt, cut, and tried to kill myself...I was certified. But, while in the nut house, I wasn't too happy. A: shrink who gave me three kinds of pills after on half hour conversation. B: I refused the pills, so was still crazy. C: was rather violent. and D: I just wasn't happy. I thought that my 'vampire boyfried' (remember, crazy...he didn't really exist, a figment of my imagination and mental illness) couldn't get to me. So, I have a lot of poetry from that. And I found it. Any parts you don't exactly understand, go ahead and ask. They might acutally have a basis in reality...or in my unreality. Whichever, I can explain. Oh, and none of them actually have titles other than "nut House". So, here's two more.

Day One,
And you think you know me.
One talk,
And you can get them screaming
One mistake,
And once again I’m drowning,
Pure Bullshit.

Slipslide bouncethumpboing,
Whispergigle cracklethrust,
Quiettime is anything but,
But no one hears a thing.

You want to hear my words on
Me?
You want to hear a self-written
Eulogy?
An emotional strip show
Autobiography?
Or just confirmation that I’m
Crazy?

Yes, you anthromorphic bicepliopod,
Go feed your pet vampire
The oldcold blood of
Anonymity
As the vanilla shadow monsters
Steal what little is left of
Our sanity.

No, you petroc codpiece,
I will not succumb to
Paper cup happy pills of
Noncommitment
While the watchshadows flit
On the edges of lipstickimprint
Embitterment.

Black knight of precious medication
On a silver pushcart steed
With Zoloft lances, serequel clubs,
And shining swords of A-type anti-hallucinogens,
You cannot penetrate my armor
Of a pushed aside lifetime.
Codependent caffenation of the addlepated counselors,
Who don’t really care,
Cannot stop my midnight hokey pokey
Under this orange pollution moon,
Wondering if anyone will see my shimmering
Sweat, Tears, and Blood mix to make me
Evanescent.

Peeking Tom of moonshine mental misery,
Flashing instant blackmail brainwave Polaroids
To write your two piece thong bikini paper
That doesn’t seem to cover enough of me.
But you can’t really hear my words,
Because I might be the one to show
That the only thing keeping you from
A plastic wrapped mattress and bare feet
Are the keys in your pocket
And a saner-than-thou attitude.
The only reason you’re the doctor
Researching my psychiatric deviation is
Documentaion.
I didn't lose my mind, I sold it on E-bay.

Morning without you is a dwindled dawn.
