Chapter 3
bad truth
"REN!!!! RENNN!!! HELP ME!!!" Maki screamed.
She was being attacked by a group of demons." REN!!!" She screamed.
Far away was Ren running as fast as he could towards Maki following her voice.
EARLIER THAT DAY
"Ren..." "Ren..." "REN!" Maki screamed.
She was trying to talk to Ren. But he was ignoring her while he read the paper and drank his coffee. It was about 10:15 am. After a few days Maki was used to getting up in the early morning. Maki watched as the man took small sips of the coffee. "Coffee huh..." She whispered.
She quickly grabbed the coffee mug and too a big gulp of coffee." Hey!" Ren yelled.
Maki spit out the coffee." GROSS! How can you drink this?" She yelled.
Ren was really pissed. Once again he rolled up the newspaper. Then he whacked Maki on the top of her head." OWWW!" She screamed.
NIGHT
Ren is dreaming.
*In front of him is a man." Father why are you doing this?" Ren yelled.
The man just smiled. He was covered with blood." To kill" The man said.*
Ren quickly woke up. He was panting and sweating. He was in a terrible mood. Next to him standing was Maki." Ren you ok?" She asked.
" Do you have a fever?" She asked.
She put her hand on his forehead. Ren slapped the hand away." Get off of me." He said in the cruelest voice ever.
"Why the hell are you still here?" He yelled.
Maki was scared." Why are you acting like this Ren?" She asked.
"Get the hell out of here." He yelled.
"Why is he so angry?" Maki wondered.
She missed the kind man she knew." I don't want you here ." He yelled.
Maki was speechless." Wha?" She said.
She couldn't finish the sentence. Her eyes became water. She ran to the door. She stopped in front of it. She turned her head." Why?" She asked.
Her pure black eyes pierced his soul. She opened the door and ran out. Ren stopped breathing." What have i done?!?!" He whispered.
Maki was outside running. She was crying. She soon began to slow down. She soon stopped in front of a wall. She leaned against." Ahhh!" She cried out. "Whwhwhy(sob)?" She cried out.
She slid against the wall and made a thump on the ground." Why does Ren hate me?" Maki wondered.
"Hehehe...found ya." A voice said.
Maki lifted her head to see 5 men. All demon. The one in front of her was the one speaking to Maki. He grinned." You're coming with us." He said.
Maki was scared." No..." She answered.
The demons just laughed." You don't have a choice."
Maki got up and pushed herself to the wall." No!" She screamed.
The demons prepared themselves." Ren...Ren...I'm scared." She whispered.
The demons grabbed her. Maki struggled." NOOO!!!!" She creamed.
She dropped to the ground. She covered her face. She began to cry. She couldn't understand what the people were saying. Then someone whispered." coward." Maki opened her eyes.
She stopped crying." who said that?" She whispered.
"So...sleepy....uhhh" She sighed.
Ren was running towards her. Now he could see the demons." Get the hell away from her!" He yelled.
The demons turned around. Ren could see Maki. She was kneeling on the ground. "Somethings not right" Ren whispered.
Maki rose up. The demon next to her screamed. He was sliced in two. Maki had done it. She was smiling." Maki...!" Ren just noticed her eyes.
There was a small black dot in the center of her eye and veins where coming out of the dot on both eyes. She seemed to be completely different. When the other 4 demons saw what Maki did they became angry." You bitch! We'll kill you!" One screamed.
They ran towards her with axes in their hands. Maki just smiled, raised her hands and that was it. When the demons became close enough she brang her hands down. All at once the demons became pieces. She started to laugh. All was left was Ren and Maki. She lifted to stare into Ren's eyes. She walked closer to him." I can't move. I'm so scared." Ren thought.
He made a fist. Maki broke into a run. Ren lifted his arms. Maki ran into him. Ren rapped his arms around her giving her a much needed hug. Ren flinched. He could feel something sharp pierced his shoulder. He stroked Maki's head. Soon the pressure on his shoulder disappeared." Bu...(sniffle)..but I thought you hated me?" She sobbed.
Ren could feel her tears." I..I thought(sob) i was alone again!" She screamed.
In a calm voice Ren answered." I could never leave a kid like you all alone." "I promise." He whispered as he laid the unconscious Maki on the ground.
