Chapter 3
My name

The boy cried and cried."Hey! I see somebody over there! At The prisoner cells!" A males voice yelled.

The shouts of many more men were heard. Beth quickly took her hand back."I have to go." She whispered to him.

The boy gave a look of shock."Why do you have to go?!" He asked in a sobbing voice.

Beth looked left and then right."I don't have time to explain. I promise you I will come back for you." Beth informed him.

He nodded and with that she began to run towards the right. The boy gazed out of the window, he squeezed his head as much as he could to watch Beth run till she disappeared.

Hours went by and Beth had still not returned. He walked all around the room. All he could hear was the noise of the chains moving and being dragged around on the hard metal floor. All this time he was thinking of a name for himself. He walked and walked, till he could not stand anymore, so he lied on the floor under the window just thinking. He soon starts to day dream, but this time he is paying close attention to the words that are spoken.

In one part of the memory he hears someone say something. This word draws the boy's attention. He listened very carefully."Brock..." The boy whispered.

He opened his eyes to the cold and empty room. He smiled."Sounds like a good name for myself."

He wondered where he had heard that name before."It sounds so familiar..." He wondered.

"The name was before the first time I woke up here, but its after the time of that sweet memory of being with the lady. Then where did I first hear that name spoken to me before?"

He tried to remember but the closest time he believed he heard it, all he saw were flowers and butterflies."This sucks. Why can't I remember where I heard that name?!" He moaned and groaned.

He lied there, staring at the metal ceiling."I wonder if I can spell my name? B,R,O,K...no there needs to be a C. Ok. B,R,O,C,K. Brock, yah that seems to be right." He thought.

Hours went by and the sun sank into the distant horizon. Soon the only light came from the moon and stars."Hey, its dinner time." A male voice told Brock.

The boy looked up to see a metal sheet slide up, and a tray slide in the room. He crawled towards the tray of food. It smelt of burning cardboard, and plastic. The tray contained turkey, carrots and mashed potatoes.

Today he was very hungry, mostly because Brock did a lot of work today. He reached and grabbed the fork and spoon. He did not waste anytime shoving the turkey and mashed potatoes in his mouth. The food was not the worst, but it did not enchant any of his taste buds either.
He neglected to even touch the carrots. Brock hated carrots, ever since he had first tried them and got sick.
Ever since then he just didn't touch them ans left them to rot on the tray. Once he was done eating he just tossed the tray in the pile of old trays.

More and more hours went by, and still Beth had not returned. Even when all this time going by sleep did not grace Brock with its sweet pleasures.
Brock felt something deep with in his chest. He had never felt it before, he was worrying about Beth. He had something to worry about.

The chain en-wrapped boy stood at the window staring outside, and waiting for Beth. Brock watched the night sky, gazing at the stars and moon. The moon glowed a white light into his eyes, but unlike the sun it did not sting the poor boy's eyes. The moon slowly rose in the sky above the horizon. He watched it till he could not see it anymore.

The chilly night air brushed gentle against his face. Making his eyes water. He wiped away the tears and sat against the wall under the window.

His eyelids grew heavy with each breath, and steadily he slowly drifted away into sleep.
