Hey guys, this is the first piece that I've posted in quite a while (well, its not like i posted much before anyway) and is pretty much just a result of boredom. I wasnt sure where to post it but i guess it was written as poetry so poetry it shall remain. Enjoy.

Omnium Gatherum

The lonely stars that blotted out the sky piece by piece were looking down on us with pity, because they knew they could judge us without being omnipotent. Their calls of disgust rang across that which seperated me from sleep. You shut them out and made my ears callous without thickening skin, you simply gave them something to be open to instead of closing them like the stars. In a brief moment of wisdom you said, "Love without lust is the perfection we never had, and imperfection was never so good." The words sounded familiar as they had been said so many times though never put so bluntly. So the bluntness of the words was a welcome change from the ones that could pierce the skin like the result of falling from my 'throne' onto that spike i made a long time ago.

With regret in our heads and hands in eachothers hands, we stand atop our lives and look down on them. Trying to feel like the stars. Believing in superiority. To feel like this was something unheard of in a place like my past. So in the end of everything as it falls from grace, I'm here. How did I ever end up here?
Gone, gone from New York City,
where you gonna go with a head that empty?
Gone, gone from New York City,
where you gonna go with a heart that gone?

A good stream of conciousness piece; descriptive and very dreamlike.

If you develop this more, try a more formal format. It is good right now, but it is also confusing to read.
