Kyte has a point. We don't have much background on this character.
On to Crit:D :
Through the endless plains of snow and bitter wind she tread. Away from any civilisation where mighty wolves rule, she just wanted to get away from everything, no matter the danger. After how she'd been brought to the whole confusion of this other world everyone called "Scimiera" then told she was the reincarnation of some long-dead sorceress. This was all a bit much for Hiko to bear...
You can write this better. With the opening sentence it makes her sound quite impersonal. Give us some thought bubbles. Tell us WHY it's too much for her to bear.
She'd been muttering angrily to herself about how bad life treated her so much that she didn't realize she had company. A dazzling white she-wolf was walking slowly behind her. She had delicate yet strong legs that strided gracefully over the heaps of glistening white snow. Her eyes were a beautiful, calming shade of azure and a thin black ring of fur encircled her left eye. Her furry chest and underbelly were strangely bright red, which added to her unique unusualness.
Delete the first sentence and add some dialogue. The description of the wolf is and 'infodump.' It would make more sense for Hiko to think the red was blood, and freak out.
Never before had Hiko laid eyes on such a wolf, she turned around to take a proper look and couldn't help to gasp. She's definitely no ordinary wolf, she's huge! She thought. She decided to continue her run, being closely followed by the wolf, it was then she began to feel concerned. I sure hope she's had her dinner! But, she looks so kind, she looks like she wouldn't hurt a fly! The wolf remained looking up at her knowingly, Hiko didn't know why but she felt the urge to say "Hi".
She decided to continue her run
NO.
You NEVER run from a predatory animal, because that induces the predatory response (chasing) which means Hiko would die. Walk, yes. Run, NO. And if the wolf is following her, It's a little late to think it might be hungry.
Also, she should NOT sit there, staring at a wolf coming towards her. Instead of standing around, she should keep moving, trying to get to safety.
But, she looks so kind, she looks like she wouldn't hurt a fly! The wolf remained looking up at her knowingly, Hiko didn't know why but she felt the urge to say "Hi".
Okay, this is a wolf, not a dog. Even though your wolf is magical, the girl should have more common sense than this. Not everything in a magical world is friendly.
"A-- wolf?" "No, not quite. I am of the Elder breed, known to you as Lupuzai" "Oh right, Kura told me. You're Lodestar's called Clawbane, right?" "That is correct. He teaches the Rite of Balance that is to never harm or eat another living creature" "So, why did you call me Sorceress? A few people have and I don't understand..." "Your earlier form knew little too...you are some day going to reawaken the great pheonix, Cheer" "Cheer?" "The one who defeated Chaos in itself...but when she got banished, Chaos returned" "Oh...how do I do that then?" "When the time comes you will know what to do" Hiko sighed, "That's what Kura says" "Yes, Kura is a wise woman. Listen to her and learn all you can about the elements" "Did you come here for a reason?" "Yes, please follow me!" the wolf dashed off into the distance at amazing speed. "Oh...not more running!"
This is too much dialogue in one spot, and too... "by the way, you're the most powerful thing in the world" ... sort of thing. Break it up, let the wolf explain later. This reveals way too much of the story, and it's happening way to fast. She's totally freaked that she's a scorceress, and now she's the most powerful thing in the world??
The thing with Chaos should be the climax of your story. Telling us at the beginning ruins it for us, because we know what is going to happen already, making it pointless to read your story.
Well, I think it has potential. Interesting idea, really. Just slow it down, give us more details, and all that. :D:D:D:D
PM me if you need help V^o^V
"How grateful we are that the heavens are indeed open, that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored, and that the Church is founded on the rock of revelation. We are a blessed people, with apostles and prophets upon the earth today."~ Thomas S. Monson
Don't worry about it. I do that too. You want to get your idea out as fast as possible, right? What I suggest is that when you want to do that, DO that, then a couple hours or days later, go back and rewrite it. With these things, it's best to get the idea out as fast as possible before you lose it.
Does that help?
Oh........ that just sounded like her situation. I didn't have enough info on her or the other characters to see that she wasn't X(
