I'm trying to learn Japanese. Hence, the unsername and random additions of Japanese words in my text. I love anime, in fact I've got about five or six different ones I'm watching now. I tried writing a story based on an RP I did once, though it kind of crashed and burned. And my last vampire story I made had so many flaws I cringe to think about. Vampires, fantasy, and scifi are pretty much the genres I write. And I'd keep up a chapter story if someone would actually give me feedback on it.
Oooh, good luck learning Japanese. It's super hard. (I just finished my translation homework and I've got to go and do the reading later.)
I don't think you'll be ignored here. We're a friendly lot, for the most part, and there are lots of active YWSers. (I know how you feel, though. I have a hard time working on stuff if I'm not getting feedback. *laaazy*)
I really should organize my learning better. I kind of go to a site I'm using and browse the words, trying to memorize them. ^^;; Are you taking classes?
I'm currently watching Karin, Bleach, Love Hina, Trinity Blood, Death Note, and I promised a friend I'd watch School Days. D'you watch anime?

I'm in Japanese 101. I want to study abroad either this summer [short-term program] or for a semester/year when I'm a junior. Your best bet is probably to invest in a book that teaches kana (I'd recommend Kana de Manga, and memorize those first), and then a textbook (we use Japanese For Busy People, but it's really boring - I've heard Japanese in Mangaland is good) and teach yourself by reading the book and doing the lessons in sequential order. It's not a whole lot of fun, but it's effective.
I watch oodles of animé, but not so much as I used to. I'm currently just watching Tsubasa.

I like Tsubasa a lot; the animation is really pretty and there are lots of CLAMP jokes and recurring characters from their various series. I've heard it isn't very close to the manga, so I'm thinking about buying that, too. (So ... expensive ...)

Soo, what do you like to write? I write anything if I'm truly honest; from poetry to fantasy fiction, although I haven't yet braved the worlds of fanfiction and storybooks, but hopefully I shall pluck up the courage soon enough.
What kind of music do you like to listen to? I like everything, but I mainly revolve around soft rock, a little bit of screamo and old school punk. What a combination.
