Hello from St. Petersburg

Hi there, you can call me Ed or Edward. Those are my nicknames in most places...
I'm a poet, you could say, since I have complete writers block when it comes to stories/books. I enjoy writeing Sonnets, Hyperboles, Haikus, and Imagery. I'm from St. Petersburg, Russia and I take English lessons so I can speak to you like I am now. I hope that I can meet some people out here who I can befriend. ^^

I guess I should also say that I'm what most people call a 'Goth', so maybe that will help me find some matches on here for a friend.

Your English is amazing...do you write in Russian, first, and then translate? Or all originally in English? *curious*

Thank you, i've been takeing English for about 5 years now, but i'll admit my teachers are irrevocably annoying.... I put my Keyboard into an English alt key to write, since it helps me practice as well. ^^

Ya nye speyonka! XD My friend taught me that one! Then of course there is Ya nye ponemayooh. Very important! I've tried teaching myself more, but I don't really have time and it's real hard to learn a language on your own. Hah, but eventually I'll be fluent, I want to major in Russian Studies. [I'm a Russian lit nerd. XD Yay, Dostoevsky!]

I must say, your English is far, far better than any of the second languages I have studied thus far. (Particularly my Russian, which I am afraid is limited to a single word. *fail*)

Haha, some friends and I have a long-term goal centered on getting to Russia in a few years - the grandly named 'St. Petersburg Plan'. Perhaps we'll run into you there, да? And on the subject of language, Trident and Poor Imp are the ones to speak to. They're our resident Russian language experts. The rest of us trail blithely along, trying to pick up a word or phrase here and there.
