I haven't read the "other ones". Why didn't you like them?
Calvin : You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.
Hobbes : What mood is that?
Calvin : Last-minute panic.

Got YWS?

I found it a bit dry in some parts, and hard to get through. Still, she is an amazing writer, and the idea was really unique. I highly recommend this book and the other ones in the series.

It was cool. I liked it. I read it a few years ago and I remember thinking "I love this author's imagination."
Insperation is like a shower; it always wears off. That's why it's recommended daily.

Way, way back in the 1988 Presidential election, then Vice President George H W Bush had a phrase he liked to use: "A Thousand Points of Light." It refers to the idea that a community is made up of people who contribute in a thousand, different small ways, but with each helping to illuminate their community. It's a phrase I think about a lot when it comes to YWS. Looking forward, the site will continue to change and grow, but it will always remain a community dedicated to promoting creative writing as a favorite pastime.
