Kitty Cat In A Hat

This is a little picture i painted ages ago which i thought i'd post on here.
I got bored and thought hmm, what if my uncle was a cat? This was the result...i don't know why the cat is ginger 'cos he had grey hair.

Oh my gosh Sarah

This fabulous. have I ever seen this before? I love it's flat cap and the fact it has a pipe in it;s mouth. It reminds me of my dad and his dad mixed in together which is super. Also, it's a ginger cat whih makes it even better. Hehe. You are a super painter Sarah, and I like how the colours all blend together without any lines.

I don't think you have seen it before, as i say i drew it ages ago - as in three years - so it was packed away in a draw and i found it today.

It looks like an old man cat ^^

He looks very squashed and flat. The shadow doesn't look right either. Have you tried looking at cats to get the position of the legs right?

I like how you've given him human character using the cap, the pipe and the scarf. I love the colours on the cat =]

I did this when i was like....hmm....11-ish, so it's not anything fantastic i know. I just like it becasue it amuses me and still does ^-^. So once again i don't care for detail with the shadows and positions of legs. Just a messing about painting.

And indeed, i have a thing about drawing cats with hats on. XD

this is great. I mean the cat looks.......SCOTTISH!!! really good!

He kind of looks squashed and, dare I say it, one-dimensional. "Obviously he's one dimensional, it's a piece of paper", I know, but with the way you draw things you can make them pop off the paper.

I think the hat makes the biggest illusion of flatness, I'd maybe give it a little height, a little life. It's a good start, though!
