I like it very much, I enjoy the old feel it has, the feather pen is a nice touch along with the lattering used. It had that ancient text feel to it, nicely done.

The feather, unlike the bookmark, doesn't really do much. And the bookmark shows something about you, so maybe you could have had something you'd written yourself rather than a published book? Just an idea.
I think the title is misleading I expected to see a writer and not a book.
The black and white theme is very effective, the angle of the book is great and the feather quill really adds to that archaic, traditional feel. Also, I love that the style of the bookmark follows the same theme but perhaps it shouldn't be straight, so neat. Angle it to the side just a touch so that it's not so ordered. An excellent piece of work though.
I really like this, but I think I would have liked it more if I couldn't actually read the words on the book. Leaves more to the imagination, you know?
Beyond that, I think it's really gorgeous. The black and white is used very effectively here.

Gorgeous picture! I wonder if the bookmark would be better left out, though, as it is a tad hard to read the name, and there's already the quill lying across the book. Or maybe if it were moved more to the edge of the page? I dunno. But the background is lovely because it's so simple and contrasting. I suppose if you were really picky, you could see if you could sharpen the words on the page a bit more, or if you were looking for something new to try, you could look at a new angle for the whole thing but it's not too much to worry about. Nice job!
Oh... wow. I really love this. It is beautiful. The only thing that bothers me are the white of the pages. They look kind of gritty, if that makes sense? Not solid colors, er, I'm not sure how to explain it...
