I'm up for it! I live in Florida and my parents would probably never let me go until i'm in college.... so see you guys in like like six years! XD

Yea, I might be able to go just cause my sis would rpobably be allowed to go. (Gyrfalcon) I guess she's a really good writer but not fun going on a long trip with. I can't stop picturing everyone there. That would be soooooo cool!

And I had Jack and Dono camped out in my living room. Now that was fun! And a never-ending slew of jokes...

The biggest problem is age, I think, and parents. How did the CA group (and Jack) meet? Because most of us have known each other for at least two years, and were all over 18 (actually, I was the youngest... that was weird). That, and my parents were unbelievably cool about the entire situation (and i still think they liked Jack better than they like me). I had talked to Snoink (and we know people in common! It's crazy what being a band geek can do for connections) and Grif on the phone before, and Dono, too. That also helped.

Anyway! Bottom line? Parents and age make this rather hard. So unless you're old like me, wait a few years, ok; unless, of course, you have amazing parents that are willing to go with you/allow people to your place. Because really, parents can be totally awesome if you're honest with them.

However, be cautioned. You don't know who anyone is here for sure -- meeting someone you met online isn't exactly the smartest idea (and yes, i realise this makes me a complete and total hypocrite).

I might join you guys in a couple years. I'm feeling particularly drawn to California for several reasons at the moment...

Though I'm not really one of the YWSers that's good friends with many of the others...

And Mesh is right -- we were all pretty careful about the whole thing. All of us (except Jack) had someone we knew with us, and we met with parents around, and we had known everyone for a long time. Actually, my dad wasn't fond of the idea (he thought it was really weird), but my mom was okay with it, as long as we were safe.

Just... be safe with it. And if it can't happen now, wait a few years. We had all talked about meeting a few years ago, I think, but we ended up waiting until this year, and it was totally worth it.

That being said, I'd love to meet all of you. Whenever it's possible, of course. I've been pushing my independence a little, so I might be able to get away with it, too, as long as someone else I knew was there. (And that someone could probably even be someone I met at the original meet-up.)

So we'll see. Don't lose hope, my darlings!

I think money's more the problem for me. I could probably manage next summer but how much would flights from England cost?

It's a lovely idea, but Kit has a point about the whole cost issue, and I'm not sure how crazy my parents would be about the idea...of course, I could always go on holiday with friends, and accidentally on purpose end up in the meeting place.Lol. It will be interesting to see how this turns out...

Hehe. Perhaps we can try a mini meeting first Jasmine. I'm certainly going to have to come visit you in Ireland one day!

I'm having Gyr down to stay when she comes 'cross the pond!! Well, hopefully at least. Red tape is looming large and bright at the moment...

I live in a little village called Brayton which is near Selby which is near York. Not exactly close but I wouldn't mind travelling a little.

Oban. Yep you never heard of it yet it's odd so many people heard of Mull or Iona, but never Oban lmao. Then again I hate living here :p.
