Well, no need to worry, I do not intend to enslave anyone, it's just that it sounded quite well.

To introduce myself briefly, I'll say that I'm 17 years old, student, music fanatic (I listen mostly to death and dark metal, but also to all kinds of metal as well as old heavy things, and some more "peaceful" stuff like electronic or classical music (Bach, I love youuuuu). I've also been playing the guitar and the drums for 6 years now (oh my, I'm feeling so old)) and "work" as a moderator on a French forum akin to this one. I write quite a lot, short stories exclusively, but I'm sure you don't give a damn about it since I write them in french. Figures.

As a matter of fact, I registered here so as to get extra opportunities to "get in touch" with English, since I really prefer to read non professionals' works than edited books and that I yearn to become an interpreter. Meaning that I have, say, 6 years to perfectly harness English, French, German and Korean. There is loads of work to be done ^^ Anyway, if, by any chance, some of you know how to read French, then I'll be glad to post some of my texts here, but, above all, I came here to read your texts and to comment them.

Oh, and I tend to easily open brackets without knowing when the hell I'll be able to close them. (But you must have noticed that terrible sin already)

Hope to be helpful to you. And please disregard the few mistakes I shamelessly perpetrate ^^ My English is far from being perfect yet. Alas.

Ah, for not being native, your English isn't so bad ^_~ Only one mod comment! Please keep the language more G on the rest of the site, I know the words you used aren't terrible, but there are some really young members here and I do have to be protective!

etes-vous francais? Je suis parle en francias, juste un peu? Je suis en francais trois, et si vous "post" vos "stories" (ah, I always get stuck with l'histoire" would that even be a proper word for stories?) j'aimerai les lire.

Hah, and pardon all grammar and spelling issues, please, I'm still working out my kinks ^_~ I don't know all tenses either so... I'm iffy. But I'll be learning everything else this year.

EDIT: Ah! I completely forgot, in my fun of French, to ask something. Do you listen to Tanz-metal? I'm a huge Rammstein fan ^_^ I also listen to Eisbrecher, some Oomph, other things like that. But, mostly Rammstein. The "any metal" and "German" makes me think you might!

For a non-native speaker, your English is excellent. I've seen some who just use low-grade translators (on a different board) and are impossible to understand. Definitiely not you, though. If you hadn't said anything, I'm pretty sure everyone would have assumed you were a native speaker.

I learn opera songs in French, but I fear that is all. The Italian language is more my style, and I hope to begin in earnest to study German and English diction for music, as well. So if you post in French, I won't be critiquing you, but Claudette would love you forever.

Sorry, I'm used to swear ALL the time along with the administrators on my forum, that's why. Didn't you know that the french are rude ? But anyway, I'll do my best to refrain from this shameful habit. ^^ Or I could swear in Korean so that I feel good and no one gets offfended ? *melt under the burning glance of Claudette* I'm joking ^^°

Appart from that, ya, I do love Rammstein, Eisbrecher and Oomph (not sure of the spelling), they're cool to listen to while working. Still, Rammstein kind of disapointed me with their two last albums. Way too light, I think, compared to the first ones that were a lot more original. But I still love'em, that's for sure.

Well, thanks to everyone of you for this warm welcome, and ... I was about to advise you to drink two litres of water per day, but I don't think it suits the thread, so maybe I simply ought to say : see (or read) you soon.

PS ; Claudette, if you need help concerning your French, I'm here. And you can say "tu" instead of "vous" to me, no need to display so much respect ^^ EDIT : and the word "histoire" fits, no problem.

Wee, a Fellow rammstein fan! You aren't fond of their last two? I'm in love with Reise, Reise, although I find Rosen Rot a bit... eh. I love Reise Reise more. You are right though, before then they were a lot louder, but they're becoming more musically...talented? So they loose the repetitive riffs, and go into more musically pretty things. Or something like that.... I think all of their music is amazing. ^_^ And as soon as Eisbrecher puts out their new album I will be very happy!

haha, Well out of habit I write in the "tu" form, but I recalled my French teacher babbling about the use of "vous" in almost all situations unless they speak to you in "tu" @_@ Since it isn't something English has, it's impossible for us to figure out which we should use and when, and if we can ever switch to the other. Heh heh.

Claudette, do never take up Korean then ^^° They have three levels of speech depending on who you're talking to, each one modifying the verbs, the pronouns, and even the words used. It's a huge mess, you can't even imagine. And the fact is, if you don't respect it to the letter, you're very likely to offend your interlocutor.

And as for French ... you know, you only have to say "vous" to teachers or unknown persons that are obviously older than you, that's all. If you meet someone in the street who looks your age or younger, say "tu" directly, no prob. (that's one of the reasons I love English so much, you have "you" and that's ALL. It really makes relations simpler.)

And yah, I agree with you (my ex English teacher's favored sentence ^^), the last albums are, musically speaking, way more interesting than the prior ones, but, you know ... I've been a huge fan since their very first album came out, so I can't help feeling a bit ... betrayed ? I still love them though, for they sing in German, and German is sexy.
