You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.
Pretty skippy! Very nice, indeed! Looks a bit like the Baron from either "The Cat Returns" or "Whisper of the Heart". ^_^ That said, I don't mean to imply that you stole the Baron, just the general idea. (Cat with top hat and monocle)
