As soon as Hunter stepped into the sunlight, he started to scream bloody murder. He covered his face with his hands, trying to sheild them from the sudden attack of hot light, then was driven to his knees under the onslaught of the sun. And he couldn't stop screaming.
Hunter felt himself pulled back by his collar, back into the cold, dark tunnel. slowly he removed his arms from his eyes, and at first he couldn't see anything. But gradually his eyes adjusted back to the comforting dimness.
But the attack still confused him.
"W--Wha--wh--t..." he couldn't get the first word out, let alone the whole sentance.

"That was stupid." said Lyaro as she stood over the still shaking boy.
"What happened?" You haven't seen the sun before. You aren't used to it. You have to very slowly get used to it, you can't just go waltzing off out there."
"Oh." Hunter looked a little down-cast.
"Come on. There is a nice dark tunnel here which leads down into a vast cavern. You can slowly ajust yourself to the light in there."
Hunter stood up and followed Lyaro back into the comforting darkness.

Hunter still saw spots, and he found himself stumbling a little on rocks and uneven ridges that the spots concealed. A shiver of fear ran through him on the thought of meeting the man in the black mask again, but he tried not to worry about it. He was the kind of person who lived in the moment instead of bothering himself of what hadn't happened yet.
Lyaro muttered something about being too loud, but he didn't really care. He wanted to keep moving and make it out of here alive, no matter how much noise it took.

((well, you have a match, you know that the tunnel goes in a circle....
maybe you can find a secret door that leads to...whatever? you could start talking to Emi. I don't think you've met her character yet, have you? It's sort of awkward to be trapped in an endless tunnel with someone you don't know....XD

"How d-do we get to th-th-the chamber?" Hunter asked, thinking about the girls in the tunnel. He felt bad leaving them, after they had been kind to him, but he didn't think about living. He only thought about survival.
