Cassy and I found ourselves in a pitch black tunnel. I groaned as I got up off the ground. That slide was rough and my back was killing me.

I helped Cassy up and looked in my bag. I found a candle and matches (for some reason I kept this with me). I lit them, providing a comforting glow.

To our left was a wall, the tunnel continuing ahead of us and to our right.

"Which way?" I asked. Cassy shrugged and looked from tunnel to tunnel.

She pointed ahead. "How about this one?"

I nodded and we set off down the tunnel.
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
Llama 1:"That is what forgiveness sounds like; screaming and then silence."

Lyaro knew that there were others in the tunnel. She knew she had to get them out somehow. Then she smiled behind her mask. They didn't know where the exit was. They didn't know that the tunnel went in a full circle once the door slid shut.

She heard them coming down the tunnel, climbing up the wall she braced herself against the roof of the tunnel. Then she found the small crevice and pulled herself up. Above the tunnel was a second shelf which also followed in a circle.

The shelf could not be seen from the tunnel below, but she could keep and eye on their progress.

The boy was clever, but he was worried about his uncle. If any of them would find the shelf it would be him. As soon as he stopped worrying about his uncle.

Hunter wet his lips and glanced a the walls, looking for some way of escape. already he had seen some slides that led into the tunnel, but no sure way out, unless he had enough time and grip to scamper up those tunnels. Which he didn't. And he doubted the man in the black mask did, either.
since there didn't appear to be a way out below, Hunter looked up, searching for some change in the shadows that would show him a way out. He saw a flat shelf a little above him, but it didn't promise a way out, so he didn't pay much attention to it.

Trixie was tired of walking, this was getting annoying, how long did this tunnel go on. The boy was getting restles too.

"What were you doing in here?" She asked him.

The boy flinched slightly as the girl addressed him, and he glanced around one last time for a way out. seeing none, he sighed and shrugged. "I d-didn't want to c-come here," he said quietly. "I d-don't know w-what hap-happened." sometimes his slow speach frustrated him, but there was nothing he could do about it,

I noticed that the tunnel went in one direction, a circle. We were walking the same path over and over again.

"Let's stop. We're just tiring ourselved out," I halted, setting my bag on the floor.

"Yeah, and we need to get some sleep. I'm hungry, too!" Sharra added.

"I've got some stuff, might last several days, or at least until we find a way out of here."

Trixie

Trixie kept going, this tunnel had to end. Then she heard voices. She held the boy closer to her if she needed to move him out of the way she would be able to. There were two girls voice.

"Visitors." She wispered in Lily's ear. Lily nodded. They slowly walked towards the voice. "Keep quiet." She wispered in the boys ear.

I sat down next to Cassy. She dug in her bag and pulled out a pair of apples and some small slices of salted pork. I eyed this with a smirk. "You're ready for anything."

"You never know when you'll end up somewhere like this." She said matter-of-factly.

"I think about that, too." I said and pulled a cantine of water from my bag. "I just don't carry food."

As I offered Cassy the water, movement caught my attention. I looked up and saw a trio of shadows moving slowly towards me and Cassy. I quickly stood up and face the trio, the candlelight catching their faces. It was two girls and a young boy.

"Who are you?" I asked, Cassy standing up behind me.

Lyaro swore under her breath. The girl had noticed that the tunnel went in a circle and now there was a large group of them. From the way that the boy had been looking around nervously, it was obvious he wanted to escape.

Lyaro took off the mask and cape and shoved them into a small hole in the floor before making them invisible. Then, she stretched a hand out over the group and clicked her fingers. The match went out.

There was a lot of scuffling and shouting coming from below and she peered over to see the girls all fumbling for light and the boy looking straight at her. She put a finger to her lips and beckoned him up onto the shelf. He weighed up his options for a second and then clambered up the wall and onto the shelf.

"W-w-who are you?" He asked slowly.

"My name is Lyaro. I know the way out of here."

He looked down at the girls for a moment who had found a match, lit it and were now wondering where the boy had gone.

"Don't worry about them. He'll let them out once He realises they are of no use to Him."

The boy nodded. Lyaro beckoned once more and they set off along the shelf together as the light from the match gradually died away.

Cassy

That was peculiar. Someone snapped, and the light went out. The boy had disappeared, but to where? There had to be an exit nearby. I just knew it! And someone was watching us...but from where?

"We're not alone," I stated, glancing along the wall for a sign of a secret passageway or a way to climb out...

Lyaro guided the boy up into another chamber where they rested.

"Who are you?" he asked again.

"Lyaro, remember. I wondered into these tunnels ages ago and now I use them to get around quickly."

"Oh."

"And you are?" she decided to ask even though she already knew.

"Hunter. The man in the black mask took me down there."

"Yes, I saw. He and I have an understanding. I use the tunnels in exchange for infrormation."

Hunter looked around. "Where are we?"

"Almost under the Grand Canal."

He turned around with his arms folded. "I have to get back to my Uncle before sunrise or he will kill me."

"Ah. Now there is a bit of a problem with that."

"What?"

"It's mid-day."

"Mid-day?" Hunter repeated. The word was unfamiliar to him.

"Yes," Layro said. "As in the sun is in the middle of the sky."

Hunter still didn't understand. "s-sun..." He had only been outside at night, and knew nothing about day. He always thought that the world was always dark outside, except for maybe the glow of the moon.
