PS. I love you

This book is about a woman named Holly, and how she manages to continue living when her husband, Gerry dies. Gerry had sent her notes, to be opened every month. She follows what Gerry asked her to do, and she moves on with her life.
This story is very touching and at some parts, I almost cried. Cecelia Ahern is a great writer, and she had written other books, but this is her defut novel. I thought it was great as a first novel.
I wonder if anybody read this book, or other book written by her, before?
You should really try this book, it's funny, touching and interesting at the same time.

I'll definately have a look for it next time I'm at the library, it sounds great. What do the notes say, though?

the notes contained instructions from Gerry to Holly, and they really helped her to move on with her life.
one of the notes instructed Holly to throw Gerry's items and clothings away.
another requested her to join her karaoke competition, but she was totally tone-deaf, and Gerry knew it, but he just wanted her to have confidence in herself.
my favourite one was when he bought Holly and her friends, Denise and Sharon, to a holiday in Spain, where they had a little adventure there.

Cecilia Ahern became one of my favorite authors after reading this. Wow, she writes so intensely and emotionally and you can REALLY feel the characters. And it's a really sweet book. Try Rosie Dunne or If You Could See Me Now, also by her. I guarantee you'll love them too if you've tried PS =)

This sounds like a sweet book.

Of course, the only reason I opened this in the window was because it had the same title as the Beatles song... But still, the content was good. Way to rock.

Could there possibly be two books with this name? I remember a book called P.S. I Love You that was full of short stories..

There's several books with the title PS: I Love You I've noticed that, found two of them on my bookshelf the other day.

I love this book though, it's my favourite

I haven't actually read this, but reading the whole idea of it and the synopsis, it sounds very familiar to Stephen King's new book; Lisey's Story.

In that, her husband dies from a strange disease, and he leaves her a number of signs and notes that lead her into a world that he existed in but a world that had also killed him. I made me cry; a lot, but it was one of his greatest novels I have ever read since The Tommyknockers.

Because of that, I'm going to go out and buy this book now.

isn't there a movie based on this book in theaters now? i thought it looked really good.

This book was a bit of a let down.

It was OK, it had the potential to be so much more moving and enthralling than it was. I found Ahern's writing dry in some places. The last seven chapters were probably better than the rest of the book.

I think the actual concept was great. I feel like the notes should have been more. Some were very short.

Overall an OK read if your looking for something light that you don't have to think about too much.
