Gerard-
"Lets go then," i said readily. Like Nat, i was unhappy in this place. Too many bad memories resided in these walls.
Nat turned away from the window and came to stand in front of Alise and I. Bella stood next to him.
"Wait!" Nat said suddenly, his eyes brightening.
"What?"
He grinned mischievously. "I'll be right back."
Nathaniel-
I teleported into the main hall of the tower. The room was round with a high domed ceiling. A large half-circle of elegant chairs sat at the other end, most of them occupied.
I coughed lightly and nodded my head in respect...not that they deserved any.
"Yes?" a deep voice cut through the hum of soft conversation, silencing the rest of the head mages. All heads turned to me. "Who are you?"
"My name is Nathaniel."
"You're the one who killed Saylr!" one female mage called, standing and pointing at me accusingly.
"And Fylax!"
"And Bernet!"
"Silence!" the older mage called out, his voice reverberating off the walls. He fixed his eyes on me. "Is this true? Did you kill those mages?"
I shrugged. "Could be. I don't remember."
"Nevertheless, why are you here?"
"I've come to bid my fellow mages a farewell," i said, my upper lip curling into a sneer. Before they could do or say anything else, i clapped my hands together and muttered a single word. Suddenly, lightning rained down from the ceiling, striking the ground all throughout the room. There were shouts of surprise and rage all around.
And, to top it all off, i clapped again and instantly a flood of frogs came hopping into the room. I could've done better, but i really didn't feel like it. Simple magic that could've easily been reversed, but these mages were too startled to act. I disappeared again, laughing.
When i returned to the others, i was still laughing. They stared at me curiously but i grabbed their wrists and teleported us out of the tower before they could ask.
