"So, do you know who is going to be bonded?" Amber asked. Ruby taped amber on the shoulder 3 times. Amber then grabbed her egg puch arround her neck, and gintly removed the rock hard egg from the pouch. it was brown with blue spackles, and had a small crack. WHile she had been doing this rubby had been sercing in amber's puch for the pack of dried meat she caried for just so occasdions. She also grabbed a clean rag. Suddlenly,with a loud squek, the baby poped out of the shell. She then rubbed it down with the rag, held it by it's feet and pushed it up , and pulled it down gently to stregthen it's wings.

"Any of the new recruits," I said, "they will get paired with one human and they will grow up together."

"Well, do you know who any of the new recruits are?" Amber asked.

"Geros, he is top in his class with handling them. Then there's Uresta, she was the best flier."

"Don't forget Cleo, she's sure to be chosen," I added as I patted Raina on the head and urged her to return to her nest.

"What's so good about Cleo?" Amber asked with interest.

"Cleo. Of course. She's an all rounder but more importantly, she's got great eyesight. I think she could do with a little more training first though," Kerasd said.

"Good point," I agreed.

"So, Drask, we gotta find a town soon, I need a bed." Kella said to her Pterodactyl as they flew through the air.

"I think there is one up here some where." He replied. Their town had been raided and killed by T-Rex's. There was no one left but them.

"Alright," She said laying on his back. She was tired, hungry, and kinda filling sick.

"YOu doing any better?" Drask asked worridly.

"I'm perfectly fine." She said,

"No your not," Drask said flying faster. She slipped off his back and Drask caught her in his back claws and carried her like a baby. "I see a town, there are a few flyers coming this way, hold on just a little longer."

"Students," I said, "this is the bonding ceromony. This is where you will be bonded with your dinosaur. They will be your friend, your brother or sister, they will be you working partner." I signaled for Iraska to come in. "This is my partner, she will do anything for me, and I her. You will get that kind of relationship. If your partner refuses to work with you, you will be taken of rank and taking out of the Skybax Force. If your partner is killed, you will not get another one.

Understand?"

"Yes sir," the students said back.

"Ok, Amber, will you please help me."

Kella woke up in a warm bed, she looked around and saw Drask sitting on the large window sill.

"YOUR AWAKE!" He cried excitedly. He landed on the bed next to her and looked her over. "You look better too."

"I fill better." She yawned, "Where am I?"

"We found a town just as you passed out. I'm supposed to find a flyer when you wake up so that they can make sure you mean them no harm." He hissed,

"I'm not surprised they dont' trust us, don't take it to heart." She laughed climbing on his back. He flew out the window in search for a flyer.

" Two Canidfate's at a time will come up here a stand in front of the ready tot's. If they come up to you, you will offer them a peice of meet, if they accept, you will give them a name. If they nod thier head, you are officially bonded! Do not worry if you are not picked, It is just not the right one. Kerasd here, will call the first two canidate's." She steaped back, giving hiim the lead to beigin.

The ceramony went by fast, everyone but five people got a Pterodactyl. They went off to wait for next ceramony. "With you're new partner, you will grow up, eat, sometmes sleep with them. Remember they will work with you excellantly if you treat them kindly.

"Dismissed."

"So what now.", said amber. She was gently playing with the new born, helping it streghthen it's wet wings. It was having a little trouble moving one wing, and she was worried that it would have trouble with it for the rest of it's life if she did not get it streghtned.

"ruby", she called. Her partner came and she handed over the poor critter. He went to the air and droped it a hundred feet from the ground. Kerasd gwaked. However before he could do anythijng rubby caught it in mid fall. He did it over and over untill it started to slow it's fall with it's own wings. Rubby brung the tired new born and she put it in it's cave(pocket).

I led the newly bonded riders to their new rooms and showed them where their Pterodactyls would sleep.

"Can we ride them now?" Geros asked eagerly.

"If you wish but not far. In time, they will become accustomed to your weight and to how you sit but for now, take it steady." I smiled at them all and then left, not surprised to find Raina waiting for me. I climbed on and we headed into the sky.

"Wait," A voice called out. Raina turned and hovered in the air as a young woman with long, blond hair and large, blue eyes flew towards us.

"I'm supposed to report to a flyer," The girl explained.
